all i hear is wah wah wah i'm being bullied and i'm a massive wet blanket so i need to complain.
As someone who was a victim of bullying in Primary school, i soon learned that if i was to survive in high school, i needed to man up and take no shit from anyone. surprise surprise, the bullying stopped when they found out it didn't get to me and i could dish it out as good as i got it.
asking the rest of the world to be pussies doesn't solve the problem.

You stand up for yourself when a bully picks on you, then you stand by when they move on and start on the next potential target? Why only defend yourself? When you shut down a bully you should make it clear that you won't tolerate their behaviour towards you OR ANYONE ELSE and stand up for the idea that it is their bullying behaviour that needs to stop totally, not just their attempts to direct that behaviour towards you. But then I suppose that depends on whether you are selfish or mindful of others.

They crave attention because they are lacking something (love at home, poor academically, overweight, ugly etc...) in the end you can only stand up for yourself and pass on knowledge for others to gain the strength to do the same. Becoming a bully bully, makes you no better than the bully.

I'm in no way suggesting that we should all be prepared to substitute ourselves in place of another in any sort of bullying scenario. There is a difference between saying "stalk me instead" "punch me instead" "shout at me instead" and saying "stop stalking", "stop punching", "stop shouting". It is simply about stopping the actions of the aggressor, not winning the fight on behalf of the victim. You may even agree with the aggressor - just abhor their actions.
