Soloing Dungeons need checkpoints!

For real! You're telling me checkpoints can't keep track of if it's just been me in the checkpoint. It's unreal. Nothing like getting through a 2nd encounter to lose power and none of that progress counts. Just why can you tell me Bungie why it has to be in one sitting?

  • It's ALOT. The first one I tried solo was Shattered Throne, and I was in there for 6 hours (I took it really slow) and I got to the end boss and just couldn't beat them. I finally had to turn it off because it was crazy late, and I couldn't see straight anymore. It was a huge bummer because I felt like I spent all that time getting to the end only to have to leave and start all over again. But, I took a break from it, and did some other things in the game. I have been watching videos and reading stuff to get ready to go back in there and try again. It is definitely a challenge, and a checkpoint would be great, but I get why they make you work for it. And, I know when I do finally finish it solo I'm gonna be so happy! I hope you try it again soon, and good luck!!

  • It only has to be in one sitting for the flawless run though, right? Seems fair to me.

    • Doing it in 1 session is part of the challenge

      • Playing solo is just a compensation method for the player base. You did something alone? Great. The game is much better when played with friends or making new ones.

        • I think for base solo completion there is no reason for a player to need to complete the activity in one sitting. I think it would he better if this triumph was broken up in to each encounter and having a check for solo start at the beginning of an encounter then awarding progress when the encounter has completed. Once all encounters have been soloed the triumph is awarded. For Flawless I think imposing the one sitting challenge is more then reasonable.

          • I kinda feel like the momentum you gain by staying in the activity is worth it; especially for solo flawless runs. Solo dungeons are a tricky beast, but get easier the more you do them. Don't be put off by having to re-run them, eventually there will be a point that you'll be able to get them done in one go, and even flawless (if I can, then so can most people). Which dungeon are you trying to complete??

          • If you can do it once you can do it twice. 🫡
