Is there any reason as to why Bungie couldn't bundle everything in the DCV and release it in it's original, digital form and simply call it Destiny 1.5 "The Tween Years"? Maybe even sell it for a discounted price.
Idk. Had a brain fart and was wondering how bad it smells

I think it would be a great idea, honestly. You don't even need to have them connected to Destiny 2, just start a new character and have fun with the old content, maybe even feature it offline for the campaigns? Would probably need extra servers but I'd be willing to pay for Destiny 1.5, or have it set up for LAN or host our own servers. I wouldn't mind paying a modest amount for access to old raids for fun, just use their last stable version.

It's not that they couldn't. They just don't want to.
