Allow Banshee to change masterwork and/or collumns one and two of random rolled weapons

Really sucks getting a reload masterwork and everything else is perfect or 2 trash barrels/mag perks. These people that squeal omggg play the game are beyond stupid for being against this. 9 barrel options 8 mag options 7 perk 1 options 7 perk 2 options 4 masterwork options 4.5x4x7x7x4=14,112 possible rolls including the fact you get 2 barrels n 2 magazine perks. Does it really offend some of you clowns if that changed to 3528 if you could reroll your masterwork lol? This is of course on a weapon with only 7 perks. It gets obviously way way worse on other weapons that have over double that as perks. This is also ignoring the fact bungie clearly has weights attached to these perks to further screw you over.

5 RepliesEdited by Vale: 5/10/2024 6:14:53 PMim very aware of power creep but even so i think the masterwork should do something for your gear.. armor is fine as is but masterworking guns kinda has no point they use to give you orbs on multi kills but maybe it could be on multi crit kills instead freeing up your armor mod slots if you're good at chaining crit kills the stat bump kinda doesn't really do anything anyway

So many people in this community want everything for free and you guys aren’t even hiding it anymore. This is what happens when you’re raised on participation trophies.

It’ll save so much ppl the grief, and depression of staring at a their 4/5 roll they wanted, but with the expected Reload masterwork. May not seem like a big deal to some, but in PvP sometimes it makes a difference for certain weapon rolls. The currency economy is in a better space now, so why not let everyone just pay 10 enhancement cores, or 5 prisms at Banshee for a MW re-roll? Imagine if someone really wanted a Midnight Coup for crucible became it’s their favorite gun, a gun that doesn’t excel in range, so they farm the hell out of it to get a roll that is maxed out on as much range as it can get, only to be trolled by a Reload/Handling MW. Two stats that Midnight Coup in particular already excels at iirc. So not only is the Brave version rare asf to find (RNG), the roll they want is even more scarce (RNG), which directly influences the guns stat package overall. Just my thoughts on it though, wtf do I know.

It would be cool to have more options like at least in theme for being the gunsmith he could reroll the barrel and magazine options only maybe and not perks. But you're gonna get hounded by people calling you entitled and lazy for not wanting to play the game like it's your full time job lol

Completely agree. The grind kills this game for me. After buying into that garbage in d1 i wont do ever again.

We have been able to re-roll masterworks in the past, Original Braytech Osprey for instance so it is a possibility. Goes against the grind mechanic though so unlikely unfortunately. I had a shiny Blast Furnace drop tonight and all four column 3 and 4 perks were garbage so it went straight in the bin.

He's right there is no reason to keep holding back awesome new features that are never anwsered, Division, Diablo... Can do this. You keep having fixed random rolls but we should be able to use Ascendant Alloys to reroll MW and Barrels, so maybe +5 you get what you are looking to. Incentivates playing the whole game, not just one activity thousand times over and over again just to get burnout in the end getting nothing and eventually stop playing the game bc you cannot try feeling what you wanted to

I have an old Igneous Hammer with celerity and a Steady Hand that are both -blam!-, just missing ricochet rounds, I’d love to have a chance to perfect them. They’re both unobtainable now so it’s not like I can just farm for a roll of each of them that has ricochet.
