Lost sectors can be a good source for materials and targetting specific exotics you may want for a build especially if using a class item armour mod (Cough Discipline Armourer) :) I have been a regular lost sector runner for many seasons and for the stat checkers out there I currently sit at 7,839 completions according to my banner destination stat tracker. With practice you can get master runs done in between 3 and 7 min depending on the sector making farming efficient and masters reward cores/prisms and at the moment a trophy of bravery along with engram drops. Yes the RNG in them can be horrible and I'm convinced a couple are bugged but the tested drop rates are reported as being 25% in a legendary and 33% in a Master but I've seen from 3 exotics in a row to going 6 runs without a bean so it's a wide spread. Top tip I can give you is that you can choose what armour piece you get by doing this:- Allow your character engram inventory to fill up with exotic engrams / Prime engrams / Eververse engrams. When this is full any drops will go to the postmaster and when you collect them (After opening a slot in your inventory) They will decode into whatever armour is the current day's drop. So if you run today and get Head engrams to your postmaster but you want arms then wait till arms is the sector drop and then collect them. Just be careful not to allow your postmaster to fill up. :) Happy hunting. Forgot to mention, in Master sectors the world drop weapons can also drop with extra perks in columns 3 and 4. Got myself a couple of very useful god rolls during runs.
