Cant Cross Save :(
Hi thanks for reading this,
I played Destiny 2 from launch to around Witch Queen on my Xbox, so my Destiny characters are tied to my Xbox account. Around the time of the Witch Queen I transitioned over to my PS5, and hence enabled cross save between my Xbox and PlayStation accounts. So essentially, my Xbox account had the data for my characters whilst my PlayStation account had the expansions.
I recently bought a PC and wanted to transition from my PlayStation to my new PC. I made a new steam account, however I think I may have had an old and inactive steam account linked to my bungie account. So I was trying to deactivate cross-save on my old steam account because it was being used. However, when I went to deactivate cross-save, it deactivated all my cross-save platforms including my PlayStation.
So now I pretty much cant play Destiny for 90 days. My primary platforms are PC and PlayStation but as I mentioned earlier, the data for my characters is on my Xbox account. So despite owning all the expansions on my PlayStation, I will have to completely restart if I want to play again.
I was wondering if anything can be done about this, since I have thousands of hours tied to my characters however the data is tied to my Xbox account and I haven't played on Xbox since before the Witch Queen. This is really frustrating cause I cant play destiny at all for 90 days, and will miss the final shape expansion.

Edited by ADragonWithin: 4/20/2024 4:10:04 AMTo change your linked Steam ID, you had to disable Cross-Save first; it was a requirement, as you cannot unlink an account while Cross-Save is active. Also, as was mentioned on every page of the disabling process, there will be a 90-day wait after disabling Cross-Save before you can re-enable Cross-Save again with any of the platform accounts that were part of a Cross-Save. Everything is working as intended, and you'll need to wait out the 90 day wait period. Once applied, it will not be reduced or removed.
