Why the use of the word entitled? I work incredibly hard and long hours. Every single contest mode has been the weekend after the release week. So in anticipation people with work booked the time off and now this change has affected a lot more people. Why is their response privileged but your "this date is great" not privileged?

  • There's plenty of time can't you cancel your holidays and rebook accordingly

  • I totally would. Sadly I'm the maternity and annual leave cover so it's not a set work schedule which is why I booked the time off in advance as they usually do the raid the weekend after. It is what it is - but feedback from a paying member of their gaming community is important. I don't often do so in the forums. It's just a bit gutting to miss out on the last raid contest mode.

  • Yeah I can understand your frustration especially as your job doesn't have the flexibility of other professions

  • There are two lessons here…. Don’t plan your life around a video game and don’t book time off until you know the date of what it is you want time off for ….

  • Its getting beyond a joke the amount of people booking time off for something thats still months away based on an assumption for things that have happened before. If TFS was to be delayed again, would they then throw a hissy fit that the 2nd delay wasn't announced before they booked time off?

  • Just remember there are jobs that require people to book time off months or even a year in advance for things like vacation time or PTO.

  • And your job is your problem, not anyone elses. You picked that job, you know the schedule, you still went ahead with it. Other people shouldn't be held back because you made a bad decision.

  • I made no bad decisions here since I don't raid nor is anything in thing expansion peaking my interest. I as a human am however capable of empathy and sympathy where I can understand that both sides of a discussion can have valid points.

  • Unfortunately due to the way they'd done the campaign, the raid was pulled forward. Only 7 of the ~8 missions will immediately be available and if Prismatic works like Stasis/Strand with it being campaign locked then it would be 2 weeks. The change although negative has at least been announced weeks in advance so changes to peoples schedules can happen

  • They announced the format last year sometime, this still doesn't alter the point I made nor any points others made. Honestly I think that if the light level increases there are just going to be very few people doing contest mode. If that ends up being the case that a fail for Bungie because they wouldn't have as many people raid ready by the raid date. They could add something to boost power but this is all speculation.

  • Thats where the problem comes in, the campaign stuff was announced months ago and the last few subclasses were locked behind campaign clears but people were still expecting it to work like normal. Id rather be able to finish campaign - work on prismatic etc rather than wait 2 weeks to be able to do it. The legendary campaign like previous will get you to near raid ready (not fully) via the double chest system

  • They'd have a bit of an argument if Bungie had announced the raid day then delayed it but a lot seem to have either missed or are ignoring the campaign finale aspect being timegated I'm semi expecting prismatic to work like Stasis/Strand and be locked behind a campaign clear (haven't seen anything stating otherwise) - so 2 weeks to get the subclass would just mean id play other stuff until the entire campaign was doable in a single sitting.

And heres a lesson for you - don't presume to know how people run and plan their lives. I don't need life lessons. I also don't plan my life around a video game. But yeah, I'll just not have any forward planning in life so I can enjoy some social time with my fireteam friends. I'll just wing it. Gosh I should have taken your advise earlier in life! Besides that, you can't answer a simple question about your use of the word privilege so you go back and play with your Mr Potato Head.

  • It would help if 'privelage'' was actually a word.

  • Yes. And I had already corrected it as soon as I posted it and saw. I didn't realise I was taking an English test. Perhaps you should get outside and live life 👍
