Its a free kill if you're fighting a bot with ZERO AWARENESS. Its a borderline suicide button and I kill people who use it against me 9/10 times. Skill issue. skill issue. skill issue.
Also a TITAN MAIN of all people crying about balance is hilarious. Maybe look at your own kit first before whining about a nothing burger ability that gets people killed more than it gets them kills.

Talking about skill as a player who doesn't play comp and only has 4000 seasonal kills, is laughable. You do not have either the skill set or the experience to have an informed opinion on pvp sandbox.

It -blam!- sucks and anyone who cries about it is either garbage or has a vendetta against hunters because they use a controller and crutch on AA. Also another Titan main spotted. Suspend dive is dome around the player. It literally doesn't even has to be aimed. Works through walls and will immediately Suspend on impact. Just cus you lack the ability and knowledge to both see and utilize it's power doesn't meen it's not there. Nothing says i have no leg to stand on in the argument, than insults. Stay classy

Edited by Pazsy: 4/24/2024 6:37:32 PMI have no doubt in my mind that strand hunter is amazing for the top 0.1% of players because of movement options, but when people use suspend slam they use it for MOVEMENT, not for a "free kill" like numb nuts at the top is saying. I personally agree that strand hunter is the best option for hunters but I don't use suspend slam because I'd rather have extra damage/radar manipulation with my class ability rather than a little bit of movement that I don't know how to take advantage of without getting killed. I could state the same thing about dawnblade and snap canceling, uhhh remove it because sweats are taking advantage of it for movement. But balance decisions should not be made like that, brother. I'm sorry you're too salty about your nonawareness to realize that. (also strand hunter is ABSOLUTELY NOT THE STRONGEST CLASS. LIAR. That is void titan/dawnblade as they have the highest win rate by a staggering margin. Please actually research things if you are going to spout nonsense.)

Snap canceling is 100 percent an exploit and is not an intended part of the kit. While dawnblade still has excellent movement without it. Snap canceling is not comparable. It's unintended and could be patched ( kinda doubt it this late, but who knows). Void titans have had several nerfs in the last 2 years. They've become so shallow, that they live and die by the barricade. Which is melted in a second btw. They only have a high win rate due to bubble and zones being the primary objective. Similar to well. But well has a more neutral game. Take bastion away and void titan dies. Titans have had more gutted from the kit in pvp than any other class. Because bungie seems to only want titans to punch things. Which makes them an ability heavy class. But abilities always feel cheap to die to, so inevitably get nerfed. Hunters are easily the strongest class for pvp. Yes they're generally lacking in pve.

Also they still have a higher win rate in modes without a zone in it brother… they just have better all-rounder kits that help the team more. It’s okay to be wrong, you just have to admit it sooner rather than later or else it gets embarrassing.

Strand hunter is the strongest class in PvP that’s why it’s in 6th place for most used subclass in PvP. Yeah Hunter is the strongest if you just ignore every single piece of data sure. Solar warlock is leagues ahead of anything Hunter has and despite all the nerfs to void titan it’s STILL too strong. Void titan needs buffs in PvE but needs nothing for PvP. Please think logically.

Averages. You have to learn how to properly interpret data. Strand hunter isn't higher up because the average player doesn't have the skill to utilize it. That doesn't mean it doesn't currently have the highest skill ceiling. Again void titan is only high on usage and win rates because of zones. Their usage trippled when dominion came around. ( and fortress) If they took dominion away, you'd see void titan drop off significantly. And by extension, Titan usage. Cus titan has no viable replacement.

So what is your point then??????? If something has a high enough skill curve that no one besides top players want to use it then WHY NERF IT? What are you arguing for?

That is an excellent ability. And just cus you can't utilize it, doesn't mean it isn't comparable to the strongest abilities in the game. And as far as suspend in pvp. Hunter suspend dive is 10 times better than any other option. My entire point is just because you fail to recognize how strong something is, doesn't mean it isn't. The hunter suspend dive is significantly stronger than titans barricade. It might be weaker than warlocks suspend on tangle throw. But it has way more uptime so not sure how the scales balance out there. I don't see enough strand warlocks to properly compare. It is the strongest of all the classes suspend. As far as strand in pvp goes, hunter does everything that the other classes do. But better. Plus what it has uniquely. The recent clone nerfs brought it's threadlings in line with warlcoks. But the clone offers way more than the warlock gets from its threadlings.

I’m sorry but I just disagree, a “good” ability doesn’t rely on 30 other factors to make it work. I agree the other class options for suspend suck -blam!- but that doesn’t mean that ensnaring slam is good just cause the others are unusable. I think it genuinely is just for people like HynraCanFly who can whip around and never miss a headshot and snap cancel every 3 seconds. If it were truly a “good ability” then people would use it. I think it’s a “niche” ability that is only for people who truly understand the ins and outs of it. Ensnaring slam doesn’t need a nerf and strand warlock and titan could use some buffs. Both of these can be true at the same time.

The slam needs a nerf, in that it needs a line of sight condition. The slam should not suspend through cover. If the hunter and the target don't have line of sight than it shouldn't suspend. Thats the only problem i have with it. It's incredibly frustrating to get properly bait a corner and get suspended anyway.
