Corrected: Holster mod[/quote] Holster mods are not meant to work with weapon types that only hold one in the mag. Aka bows, rockets and special GL. This prevents auto loading from becoming pointless on them.

  • They could just remove auto loading as a perk since its function is replaced with a mod. That way, more desirable rolls can be used, and if that's the mod people choose to use a slot for, then they get the benefit it was designed for. I'm sure there's and "Overpowered blah blah blah" argument against that, but hey, this is just my opinion.

The mod reloads the mag partially, while autoloading reloads the entire magazine. Since one shot weapons can’t be partially reloaded, they can’t use the mod.

  • Because if kinetic loader mod loaded grenade launchers you wouldn't need auto loading holster on the gun. Kinda self-explanatory.

  • Bungie purposefully made it not work on breach or rocket launchers as they didn't want a mod to replace a perk.

  • Yeah I get it. It sounds like some Bungie logic though. "We have this mod that works like this perk, but only on these weapons because we want you to choose between X and Y..." To me, it doesn't make much sense.

    It doesn't work the same though. Every about 3 seconds it reloads I think 10% of a weapons ammo back into the mag with each mod reducing it by 1 second till it takes 1 second while auto loading while auto loading is after 2 seconds it reloads 100% of the magazine. I think the mod is mostly meant for pvp in which you tended to swap between your primary and special a lot meaning you could let the mod reload your special while you used your primary. The biggest use for the mod in pve is with Parasite since it's not considered a breech gl so it works with the perk despite being a single shot
