Stfu. You're going to blame Bungie for YOUR decision to dismantle a weapon that YOU chose to dismantle because YOU decided it wasn't worth keeping?
Sunset gear could still be used in: patrols, strikes, quickplay pvp, private matches, and other low-end content.
YOU chose to delete it because you couldn't use it in high-end content, and that is YOUR decision. Bungie doesn't owe you anything for YOUR decision.
If the gun meant that much to you, you would have kept it for the memories or for the fun of using it in pvp or low-end content. YOU decided the gun wasn't worth as much as whatever you replaced it with.

The issue that people should have is not the loss of their weapons but instead that Bungie straight up lied to the entire fanbase. That's what people are truly upset about, they just haven't connected the dots.

Except they DIDN'T lie. They said they were sunsetting for the following reasons: Power Creep Game Size Stability What problems did D2 have at the time? Power Creep. Game Size. Stability. Power Creep is no longer relevant, as this is the end of the game. Final Shape is the very last big update, the last additional content. So Power Creep no longer exists. They've optimized and reworked and improved their systems. Game Size is no longer an issue. They're on a better engine, Game Stability is no longer an issue. They did not lie. "Times changed" does not mean they lied. If I tell you "I'm deleting my game because it's no fun", and then it goes through 50 updates and I reinstall and enjoy it, it doesn't mean I lied. It means things have changed and so I've changed my stance as well. Y'all need to learn what lying REALLY is, cause if you say Bungie lied when their reasons for Sunsetting were all 100% valid, and they DID NOT KNOW things would change so much by this point, then you have NO idea what lying is.

After they discontinued sunsetting the playerbase asked if they would revert any weapons that had already been affected. They then said [quote]It's unfortunate but we will not be reverting any weapons that had already affected. We will instead find new ways to reimplement sunset gear back into the loot pool.[/quote] That was the lie.

That's not a lie though? They never said they would revert weapons that were already affected. They said those weapons would be unsunset, with the un-sunset versions coming from current sources. They literally said that IN the announcement. Nowhere did they say they would revert the status on the weapons sitting in vaults and such. Again, learn what lying is. "We are un-sunsetting gear, we will integrate the previously sunset gear into the loot pool of current sources" is not a lie. If they had said "We are un-sunsetting gear, you will be able to pull old gear from your vault and increase it's power level" then you'd have a case, but they didn't. Nowhere did they say old gear from your vault would be uncapped again.
