The whole selling point of destiny is “space magic”… what you’re proposing is change the entire PVP model.
Dude if you don’t like abilities, or even special weapons just play CoD. Such an easy fix to all your problems.

I’ve been playing Destiny PvP from the get go and the space magic has got waaaaaay out of control. Even with the increased cooldowns it’s far more frequent and more potent than I think is good. That said, there’s a crucible mode coming with no abilities and if that gains some popularity then it will be great to have an alternative for people who like the guns more than the magic

Special ammo has already been cut in half, and most ability uptime has been cut by ~ 20%. If people wanted to play a PVP game strictly around gunplay alone, I urge them to play other games because it’s not destiny. CoD has that already (with exception of kill streaks), go play that instead if you’re looking for a game with no abilities.
