I read that Cozmo wants to know what changes players want so I made a list

[b]1. Legendary universal ornaments over exotic armor[/b] - I know exotic armor is supposed to look really distinct, but in PvP modes where exotic armor choice actually matters like ToO and Comp there's already an overview of what exotics each enemy team member is using. - In PvE modes like Raids, Dungeons, and Nightfalls, people often tell each other what they're running to stay coordinated. - This wouldn't change much gameplay-wise other than easier fashion. [b]2. Shaders on exotic weapons[/b] - Plenty of ornaments in the game change the physical structure of exotic weapons, so changing the color distribution on these alternative structures wouldn't be a problem. - Ex/ I'd love to put a shader on TLW's Laconic ornament. [b]3. Give us more aspects that operate without being tied to ability cooldowns[/b] - Knockout and Icarus Dash are good examples. I want to see more aspects like this that don't require me to expend an ability to activate, especially with how grenades, melee abilities, class abilities, and supers are a bit less frequent in the current sandbox. [b]4. More melee abilities for Voidwalker and Nightstalker[/b] - I know I asked for aspects that operate independently from ability charges, but Nightstalker and Voidwalker need more melee ability options - Bring back Corrosive Smoke and make it apply volitility. That'd be pretty good for crowd control in PvE without taking the niche away from the snare we have already. Nightstalkers will have access to one that acts as a trap (and weakens), and one that makes targets volitile (or just a melee ability that uses the void daggers from Spectral Blades because those blades are cool). - Please give Voidwalkers another melee ability and buff the one they already have if possible. [b]5. Combined Arms and multi-manned vehicles[/b] - Not much to explain here other than that a vehicle operated by two guardians would be pretty cool. - Combined Arms is easily my favorite 6v6 mode in D1. Not much to explain here. [b]6. Easy way to incorporate lost subclasses into D2[/b] Here's one that's been on my mind for a while: - Give Hunters Arc Blade, and if I equip Arc Blade on Arcstrider the subclass name changes to Bladedancer. It'd also be cool to have Blink Strike back (albeit likely reworked), especially since Hunters don't have an Arc melee ability that uses their knife. - If a Sentinel equips Ward of Dawn their subclass name changes to Defender. - If a Dawnblade equips Song of Flame their subclass name changes to Sunsinger. [b]7. Shiro-4 and Himura Shinobu[/b] - Shiro-4 hasn't had much development since Rise of Iron - It'd be interesting to see how he deals with humanity's alliance with the eliksni in the Last City. Maybe there'd be some degree of uneasy peace between him and the eliksni specifically...? - How would Shiro-4 interact with Crow? Would Shiro be willing, or even able, to understand that Crow is different from who he was before becoming a Guardian? - How would Shiro-4 feel about Crow aiming to lead the Vanguard's Hunters? Maybe Shiro could be a sort of advisor/mentor to Crow, helping him grow into a proper Vanguard to carry the duties left behind by Cayde-6... - Himura Shinobu's story in the lore is super cool - Prominence in past lore gives room for development in terms of what she's been doing since the Great Hunt. Edit: Adjusted the layout for easier reading. Added some stuff for item #7.

  • Better ability uptime pve, especially now that you've changed the ability economy in pvp. I know a lot of the ability cooldown/ uptime nerfs over the years were largely the result of pvp balancing needs. Feels like the new pvp ability economy makes those unecessary.

  • Maybe with the legendary ornaments for exotics, they could only use a certain number of them so you'd still have an idea of what people were running. Not that it matters that much because you can't really tell in PvP and in PvE people will probably know another way like you said. Shaders on exotic weapons would probably be mostly cool. Number 3 is the main reason for my reply. The stuff where the game is controlling it and players are passively using things will hopefully be kept to a minimum. The game just goes over the top with things like threadlings and dr and anything that aims itself. Hopefully it doesn't become a way to have a ton of abilities when the goal was to reduce them. Not a warlock but warlocks are cool unlike the other non hunter class. Combined arms would be a lot of work but a lot of people seem to want it and if its done right it could be even better than it was before. I'd like to see arc hunters be able to throw something since its the only subclass that can't. The Shinobu lore is one of the coolest pieces of lore I've ever randomly come across on the forum. If she could be put into the game right it would be really cool.

  • Remove Lobby Balancing in 6s. Theirs no reason I should be able to look at the lobby flying in and know 2 or 3 of my teammates every game. Based on how bad they look.
