How is putting a .7 and a 1.7 on opposite teams "similar skill?"
Awful

My group has actually been bullied our of both Iron Banner and Gambit. We are largely just a causal group who are not particularly great at PVP but occasionally we like to mix things up and try to get some new rewards. On Iron Banner about 2 months ago we got matched up against and lost to the same premade 4 time in a row. Even after getting the notification that bungie was going to break up our teams from matching we sat in matchmaking for about 5 minutes then the it just gave up and put us against them anyway. We left and stopped playing Iron Banner. The same thing happened the other day in Gambit. 3 losses kept getting put against the same team and they were largely demolishing us and emoting acting like they were so good until we just gave up. Tbh I bet they are still in matchmaking because apparently we were the only other team to go up against in Gambit XD Lots of games try to solve matchmaking and try to create a system that is better then any other matchmaking pvp game and more often then not they just make it worse. PVP in video games is ruined by overly competitive players who can't turn off there try hard mentally. It isn't really there fault when a game rewards them for beating up players they out class. The moment a game stops rewarding mainly victory and simply encourages participation is the moment they will see a massive up tick in activity and positive interactions and feedback.
How is putting a .7 and a 1.7 on opposite teams "similar skill?" Awful
Bro Bungie don’t give a crap about the pvp matchup it’s been absolutely trash since launch of D2. The game itself is good best animations and fun action anywhere but they can’t fix simple stuff like this mainly because they aren’t on dedicated servers and rely on player to player connections

Every time I load into an ib match I’m convinced “similar skill” is just a general term used to describe anyone that still plays pvp at this point.
How is putting a .7 and a 1.7 on opposite teams "similar skill?" Awful
I also love how you can be absolutely demolishing a team and then all of a sudden none of your shots register no hits your entire team falls apart and the other team does a comeback. Absolutely Bungie is controlling this through an algorithm in code. If it weren’t for the guns needed for pve I’d not step into crucible

It's Just forced wins and losses to keep people playing and buying silver.

Edited by Golden: 5/5/2024 9:22:11 PMGotta have that forced win and loss and keep that ratio near 50%

There is not SIMILAR, FAIR OR SAME CONDITIONS You choise a bad game if u are looking for that, destiny is the most unbalance game in this momment they force to lose to keep ur ratio at 50%, if u play Solo...bad choise that makes you just a ball of flesh to sacrifice in any lobby with 90 - 35 "fair play" I already have 8 years in this game and it was good long ago but now is GARBAGE RECICLE PVP UNBALANCE AT GOD LEVELS

If they make sbmm based on kd/kda alone that would be the best and most simple solution. They put margins to find players on lower or higher skill if no match is found.

Can't wait to see the extent of skill disparity in Marathon. Game's most likely DOA and doesn't even know it yet.

It’s loose at best.

Depends on what the rest of the teams' stats were. Probably added up to "similar skill" which definitely belongs in quotation marks because that's only about 1/5 of what's important about sbmm.
