Locking double perks behind unnecessarily rare shiny weapons is stupid
EDIT: Since we got some [i]special[/i] and [i]unique[/i] forum dwellers, I revamped the post.
Not being able to reset Shaxx is stupid.
Double perks (A system traditionally put behind resetting ranks) on shiny weapons exclusively is stupid.
Hall of Champions and everything revolving around it being removed with TFS is stupid.
Shiny drop chances are stupid.
Shiny double perk obtainability being removed with TFS is stupid (couldn’t care less for the glow).
If the solution is to not remove anything from ITL, it should be done, even if the shiny drop rates are abysmally low. Not entirely sure why time rushing is ever a factor.

i did some testing on my second accound with this drop rate,so yea i would say it is broken aka not working as intended. 400 tokens of slavery + 17 rank up engrams from shaxxy i thought the chance would be high,but omg i was wrong,i got 1 shiny from all that ONE. The drop rate itselfe in onslaught is a fu.... joke, im 100`% sure bungie has done it like this so they can force us to play theyr dead -blam!- game. Wave 50 should garanteed drop a shiny,on legend it should be 2 shiny,and for the love of god put in some ascendant shards or let us trade alloys for shards. This is the first time in 9 years i havent preorded a dlc,reason is simple. they lie,they are unprofesional,they are lazy and they clearly have no idea what they are doing anymore. Maintenance every week,bugs take weeks to fix,cheese ingame is totaly okay(should rename theyr game to destiny the cheese game). Sony should fire everyone in there and bring in some fresh blood,becus they are clearly burned out. Mic drop.Peace

I can count on one hand, on one finger, the number of shinies of got doing way too much onslaught over the last two weeks. Drop rate is broken.

No more shiny drops No more double perk drops No more trophies of bravery (heatwaves are pointless) No more shaxx reputation No more attunement Yeah, I'm sure people are still totally going to play this terrible mode after TFS releases with even worse drop rates on loot and its all completely RNG.

1 ReplyIf Bungie was actually trying to have people enjoy grinding Onslaught they could have had Shaxx rep reset and after the first reset double perks would drop in the third column. After the second reset double perks would drop in the fourth column. After the third reset you would get three perks in first and second columns. Fourth reset: three perks in third column. Fifth reset three perks in fourth column. See where I'm going with this? Eventually if you grind hard enough(maybe at the 10th reset) every drop would be shiny with long columns of perks similar to the old Trials weapons in D1. But you know... That would be actually good for the game and would make people actually play more AND would mean that by putting in the work you could reduce vault space by having weapons you could toggle into several rolls depending on what you were doing.

1 Replybungie wants you to grind for a crap perk roll. onslaught has been thumbs down for shiny drops and if I do get one it's perks are trash can . bungie is doing bungie it's why players are leaving them behind.

I’ve ran the full 50 wave version maybe 5 times. The 10 wave probably 5ish times as well. I’ve gotten at least a dozen shiny rolls. RNG is a mf. We all know how Destiny works: play until you get what you want. If you’re not willing to do that then you don’t really want it. This is an RPG; you’re gonna get a lot of -blam!- gear.

I have a Midnight Coup shiny with Explosive/Frenzy and a shiny Rampage/Killing Tally Hammerhead on a build I just put together tonight.

They should just guarantee a shiny at the completion of a wave 50 end of story

It's not gatekeeping. They made a game mode that has a limited time special drop with double perks. I have gotten allot of them. If you play you can to.

4 RepliesThey aren't gatekeeping double perks behind the shiny versions The double perks are meant to make it so you have a higher chance of actually getting a decent roll on the shiny versions. It's not really needed on the normal versions with how many drops you can get, but if you get a shiny and there's no good perks on it then you're probably gonna feel like crap about it. Doubling up the perks doubles the chance of getting a roll you want.

It’s not gatekeeped, you just have to play a lot due to much lower drop rates.

I've had a good few shiny guns... most of then being Elsie's rifle. I got 2 gold MT and 4 others in an onslaught.. not one of them had the auto load recombination on them. I've just given up on it.

I don’t mind the shiny rolls being rare as they are just a skin but would like to be able to focus weapons even after the hall of champions goes.
