With all the free stuff that just dropped, this is one of the biggest dubs in a long time. I can tell this was due to pressure from Sony, but this is huge. THIS is what will bring players back. The thing I appreciate the most is the catch-up mechanic. I stopped buying season passes after the Lightfall flop, and this is very useful for me. With the past 2 seasons being free, the free Deepsight Harmonizers has been a humongous help. I was able to use them to finally get my Austringer crafted, and I’m loving it. I’m also using them to craft Kept Confidence, Locus Locutus, and Scatter Signal. And Bungie, you may think “Ugh, this is a waste of money.” But you’re wrong. Because this will drive me to play the game. I’ll be playing non-stop for the next few weeks to get those weapons crafted. And it’s not like a stupid boring grind, like I actually enjoy it. There’s plenty of stuff for me to do, and it’s to get weapons that I enjoy. If that wasn’t enough, the free Ascendant Shards and Alloys from the season passes has also allowed me to masterwork some exotic pieces and I’ve been able to fully craft weapons the moment I get their pattern. Huge W Bungie, we need more of this.
