Marathon looting mechanic

Someone let me know if there is a marathon specific forum so I can post it there but I've been sitting on this idea for a while and I would love to hear a Bungie employee's response to this. At the moment I don't know too much about how the game will work but it sounds like there will be a looting and extraction aspect to the game. That considered, the idea is a 1 of 1 loot mechanic. Now hear me out. When Destiny was first coming out, exotics were this like extremely hard to get, mythical class of weapons that were hand curated to be the best or at least seriously unique. I always thought it was so cool when one of my friends got a new exotic that we had never seen before and we would all run strikes to see it in action. That's where this concept is coming from. Now consider how this would work in Marathon. You're in a mission/play session/etc and you are getting loot and you come across one of these insane 1:1 weapons. It's supposed to be somewhat over powered because it's 1:1. It gives you that hype feeling like holy crap you just found literal gold. Nobody knows how many 1:1s even exist, what they do, any of that stuff. I mean eventually there will be screenshots and videos and stuff but these will be true mythical weapons. I think that's awesome and that's something I don't think anyone has ever done before in that genre of game before. Now of course there has to be a rule with the weapons because the first thing people are going to want to do is sit on it and never let it get back into circulation. There would need to be some sort of account timer on the weapon where you would need to complete at least one mission/extraction/play session with the weapon (aka actually use it) every 3 days or so, otherwise it will go back into world drop loot tables or something. I feel like this mechanic could be so hype if pulled off correctly, like imagine from a social aspect about hearing about these insane weapons, almost like playground gaming rumors. It'll also give other people chances to create content on these weapons and gear instead of just the biggest YouTubers and streamers talking about godrolls all day. I just think it could be really refreshing thing to see.
