Really, why should I even try to win?
It's not like the rewards you get after the match are influenced by whether you win or lose. If I know that my chances of getting rewards are the same as any other shmuck, then what's the point?
If there were a ranking system, like Halo 2's 1-50, that would be reason enough to win. But there isn't.
So, besides "the spirit of the game" or whatever, what's the incentive to win?
You're welcome.

I agree with Sandow, Bungie keeps rewarding the ignoramuses that suck in PvP! It's good to see a fellow fan in the forums

They should reward more crucible marks for winning, right now the incentive to win is getting 3 marks,(a whole 1 mark for being the better team)instead if the 2 you get for losing It should be 10 for wins 1 for losses
-
I would agree. I want a crucible rank system of some sort.

Crucible should have crucible specific loot, quite like raids that the winning team or top 3 players overall have a small chance of winning. I know it might not be fair for those that aren't good at crucible, but if you're not good at a game you don't progress in it.

That one extra mark

None. I only tap a button every few seconds so I don't get kicked. So far, I've gotten the Last Word 3 times and the Truth once. Other than IB, and not even always, there is no incentive to try in PvP.

You get a swift kick in the ass

It's always nice to play against other people, other than bots. It's all fun especially without the terrible lags.

First you have to find the incentive to even play the contentless story, then you can ask this question.

Competitive fun? I play games for fun sometimes.
