Dual Destiny - The Clock Callouts

Maybe this isn't a problem for other people, but is anybody else struggling specifically with reading the clock callouts quickly enough during the Dual Destiny quest, specifically during the final boss fight? For context, during one of the final immunity phases for the bosses, there is a mechanic where four orange sides strike around twelve possible sides total - resembling a clock - rotating after a few seconds for three distinct sequences. (This is similar to the previous clock encounter with the Tormentor.) To break the immunity of the bosses, you need to shoot the three sides that you and your partner have in common, repeating this two more times with a grand total of three different clock patterns. For me, a Guardian with anxiety, having both the clock mechanic and the quick rotation of the different rotations is just too... much (as Ikora would say). But I wanted to throw this in the ether to see if I am the only one who feels too overwhelmed during this specific encounter. Now, I want to clarify before I finish this post: 1) I believe that the rest of the mission is quite doable, even if it takes a bit of time to coordinate with another Guardian (a friend or stranger), especially if you both have mics. I have, otherwise, had a blast learning it. 2) I don't like to complain for the sake of complaining; if I have an issue, I prefer to have some (possible) solution of change. In this case, I think that having the clock either not rotate - showing all sides at once - or maybe add more time to make the rotation easier for people who *may* be struggling like I am.

  • The clock changes in 3 different patterns. Take a breath, take your time. Figure out all 3 patterns and what the common one for all of them is. Then wait until you’re ready and enemies are gone, then shoot each number one after the other. You don’t have to call it out and shoot immediately.
