Tae Ken placed his blade closer to Kate's throat as pale flames began to creep around his hands. "I don't know how you managed to break free of my hold but I assure you, this time I won't be so lenient." Rex made a growling noise from his red right side and his jaw slacked as the sinister pale voice spoke. "As much as I like senseless destruction, my associates don't really like you hitting on their thing there. So be a good freak and hand her back." Rex's left arm flexed and pale flames jetted out slightly in emphasis. Tae Ken gave a laugh. "No one here has the room to talk, except me. Now, let's make a deal, a shall we say... feast offering." I stayed back and aimed down sights but didn't do anything as I listened. "Now, currently there are two Guardians running for their life: the appetizer and the shocking course. My little minions are fetching them as we speak, will they live? Will they get caught? That's a gamble I'm willing to bet on. So, here's the kicker, you let me have those two and I'll be off. If they escape then well jolly good and lucky for you. If not..." Tae Ken simply grinned and licked his lips. "Either way, you get off Scott free." "And if we don't?..." Angelica asked. "Then my sweet tooth gets to have dessert first." He drew one of his blades along Kate's neck slowly. She whimpered loudly as the screeching of metal followed. "Along with the main courses later." He looked at the three of us and grinned evily. "I must eat and pay my tithes somehow." Everyone stood quietly for a moment. Angelica and I didn't move and Rex seemed to be debating with himself as lights flashed from red, to deep blue, to pale white swiftly. Tae Ken waited a moment then shifted slightly. "Well? My girls and I are getting hungry." Kate whimpered a little and looked at us and shook her head. Arc energy sparked lightly on her fingertips as the bare outline of a knife was visible. I nodded slowly. "You are not going after Laurentine, and you are not getting us." Tae Ken frowned slightly and his guard dropped slightly. "Is that all?" "No." Kate said through gritted teeth. Her arms made a quick motion as she blinked out of Tae Ken's grasp. "F*** YOU!!!" Her body exploded in blue crackles as arc energy coursed into her knife. Rex laughed evily and rushed forward, arms wreathed in red and pale fire. Tae Ken quickly shadestepped back, drawing his blades in a defensive way. "Fine then. Come." Kate and Rex yelled and rushed forward, striking whenever they could. Tae Ken simply blocked and pushed them back, keeping the both of them at bay. Angelica and I rushed forward and stayed a bit back, shooting when we could to draw attention. He simply shrugged off the bullets and kept fighting. I growled and looked to Angelica. "You need to go help Laurentin, I'll help these two." She shook her head. "Damien said we don't leave family behind. I'm not leaving." I glanced to the side at her. She seemed to be filled with courage oddly and it made me smile. "Then let's kill this f***er." She nodded and we kept advancing, getting closer as we went. Tae Ken was having slight trouble keeping the two off of him. As he pushed Kate back, Rex was there. When he was forced back, Kate was there. His mouth was now a tight thin line as he fought on. After a bit, Kate managed to get on Tae Ken's blind side as Rex charged forward. She sliced into his back as Rex placed his fist on Tae Ken and expanded it, sending Tae Ken rocketing end over end to a wall. He crashed into it and fell, howling in pain as he tried to stand up. His torso was partially caved in and blood stained his side where Kate hit him. Kate laughed and pointed her blade at him as her super faded. "How's that for a wound?!" Tae Ken growled as his wounds mended themselves in a sickening way. His chest forcefully put itself back and the wounds began to weave together. "I... have... had enough..." Rex roared in defiance and launched forward, aiming directly for his target. Tae Ken glowed with pale fire and snapped his blades together. "This ends now." As Rex drew close, his fist reared back in anger, Tae Ken jabbed his blades into Rex's torso, causing something to bulge out of his back slightly. Rex paused and looked down as Tae Ken drew the purple string back and forced Rex to move and face the view of Saturn. "Die." Tae Ken released and the purple tether pierced straight through him and jetted out into space and latching onto an asteroid, causing Rex to stumble back a bit. Tae Ken released another tether that went through the same place. Rex's back was open and a round object, similar to a reactor core, was pulsing and being pulled out of his back. Tae Ken pulled the string one final time and released, this tether wrapping around Rex's neck and causing him to strain forward to stay still. Tae Ken slowly moved forward and jabbed his blade into Rex once more. Rex gagged and all of his lights faded as the core turned red and flashed like a warning light as pale flames were absorbed into Tae Ken's body. Tae Ken then pushed the body away as it rag dolled and was pulled out into the vacuum of space by the tethers. The corpse spiraled out of control as the enertia from the pull made it drift off. "REXXY!!!" Kate shouted as she rushed forward, body sparking in one last attempt at using her Arc Blade. Tae Ken simply lifted his leg and brought it down swiftly, hitting Kate in the head and forcing her down to the ground infront of him. He gave a small laugh. "Pathetic." He raised his blades again. As he brought them down, Angelica rushed forward and slapped Tae Ken hard in the face. "Leave her alone!!" He barely moved a muscle as the Solar Wind did nothing to force him away. He grimaced and looked down at her. Angelica paused and started to back up but Tae Ken grabbed her arm tightly. "I don't have time for puny morsels." His blades moved absurdly fast as it streaked towards Angelica. "Begone." I paused as I saw Angelica's body start to fall and her head lift slowly up, like a tossed stone. It spiraled out of control and burst into a golden flame as it dissapeared into ash. Her body slumped and fell to the ground in a heap. My body tensed in anger as I felt the Void suddenly lurch into me like a frozen knife. I screamed angrily and rushed forward, ramming Tae Ken hard. We tumbled backwards but Tae Ken shadestepped away. "Well looks like I hit a nerve... Come then feast." He laughed at me, mocking my very existence. I felt my body go numb with cold, my HUD suddenly began to fog as my breath was not jets of steam. But I never noticed, all I knew was that he was going to die. I roared in anger and rushed forward, striking at any cost. Every time my fist would streak past my field of view, more and more crystals of ice formed. Tae Ken had little trouble blocking my attacks as he continued to laugh. "Are you made little light? Why do you scream? Did I kill a friend? Don't worry, I don't discriminate." His grin made my blood boil. "They will all die instead of just the one." My words became animal-like wails as I struck faster and faster, doing my best to hit him, to kill him, make him pay for what he did. Soon I was just striking air as my rage subsided to see Tae Ken's hand wrapped around my visor and his voice ringing in my ear, all sense of time or purpose passing. He laughed at me as I soon stopped squirming in his grasp, my body numb with agony and desperation. I could see his disgusting face in the corner of my visor as he leaned forward and spoke. "Do you want to know why you failed? Cause you are no more than a little lamb, sent to the slaughter by your Shepard to 'stop the crime against your fellow things.' And you go willingly, spring in your step to the very gates of the butchery. Whether the Shepard is doing this for good intentions or sending meat to the grinder to pay for his safety is irrelevant." He grinned and licked his lips. "In the end, I get to feed on those lambs and they are all delicious." My body tensed as his hand squeezed down on my helmet and spider thin cracks began to form. "You... c... cannibal..." His grin changed slowly to a frown. "No... I'm no cannibal. That would require me to each a living being. You are not that, no one you work with is like that. You are all inferior to me. But in the end, as I said, I don't discriminate. Male, female, Exo, Awoken, stupid, brilliant, disgusting or tasty, I eat them." His free hand held up his blade.
