Genji aside for now, there a lot of changes that I'm not too sure on. The Lucio speed boost change was unneccessary, and their reasoning for changing it doesn't sound right at all (Lucio was a must pick for his healing, not his speed boost. This probably won't change that.) I also am not sure why they brought back hanzo's log sized arrows, as well as making them faster. He will be very irritating for sure.
On the up side, I love the zenyatta and mercy changes. Zenyatta still deals high damage himself (actually more damage than before), but isn't as powerful for his team. And mercy having even higher healing will hopefully see her return to the meta more.
What do you guys think about the changes? Good overall? Bad? Will competitive season 2 be much better?

still ran into some good ass genji players, the nerf aint do shit
-
Tracers ass wasnt nerfed so Im good ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
-
And here I was trying to add Genji to my list of characters I can play...
-
Mind telling me your highest season rank because oh boy there are some things that you got wrong in this post
-
I felt like the game was already pretty balanced, patch doesn't sound bad tho
-
Ana's heal rate is 96 hp/s
-
The sadness and anger oozing from Genji players satisfies me...
-
It's a good patch, Genji needed a serious nerf. I find the McCree ultimate nerf, Mercy buff peculiar. Let's see how it goes though, love the way Blizzard are continually adjusting the game. It keeps Overwatch fresh, rewards people who git gud with multiple characters.
-
I dislike some of these nerfs/buffs
-
McCree didn't need that nerf but oh well
-
Looks pretty good to me overall. Also, while looking for an article on Fraghero, I stumbled across a couple of little gems for Overwatch. Don't know when they were posted. http://fraghero.com/blizzard-implements-sneaky-overwatch-change-that-makes-people-who-type-gg-ez-look-like-losers/ http://fraghero.com/fan-made-gremlin-d-va-is-now-part-of-the-actual-overwatch-game/

They buffed Mercy in the wrong way. Her healing never was the issue; it was her survivability. She is the ONLY healer that can not defend herself while healing. She has the exact same amount of health as the others, but can't fight while healing. That puts her at a massive disadvantage. They either need to give her more health or a method of self-defense while healing.

Can't say much, just got the game yesterday
-
Tracer now does 220 to the body

Those Hanzo changes are ridiculous. So many shit players already pick him up and play shoot and hope. Fire off 40 arrows and get a lucky head shot every now and then or fire scatter arrow at the floor and manage to kill folk (I hate scatter arrow, it needs removing). Now he's even better for the clueless numpty's that play him. That Lucio nerf was not needed, absolutely shit. The Genji changes were needed I think. I see so many shit Genji players that this change will reduce their numbers so that only the people who know how to play him will do well with him. As someone who plays Mercy and Junkrat i'm glad of the change to Genji that stops him going through my bear trap, I appreciate that. I don't see why Mercy was buffed though. I constantly do well with her, with this change it will make her slightly overpowered.
-
I like it. Hanzo has been teetering at the edge of being the worst character, and (you didn't exactly mention it in his character changes but I'm assuming from the rest hits are easier to land) the buffs he received will surely change that. However, moving slowly in overwatch is not the best idea from my experience, so hopefully it will be balanced-ish. Genji changes might be a little to extreme, but I'm happy to see that maybe Mei will be viable in the high rank meta, and who will replace Genji, if anyone, in the same situations.

Edited by SeneschalGrigori: 8/18/2016 7:12:37 PMHanzo - "We felt wrong for removing the ability to play Hanzo from those of the users lacking hand/eye coordination so we reverted the arrows hitboxes back to the tree logs that they were previously. You can now once again play as Hanzo and do well while never actually having to truly aim at a player & just firing in their general vicinity instead. " FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

The Projectile speed buff wasnt just for hanzo
