Hi guys! First of all, please check out my SRL video I created back in December 2015! I created this video to enter for a competition that bungie promoted. There's 3 categories that you can enter under, each with a different theme/ objective. 1 was for 'tight races' (Rubbin's Racin'), 1 for racing in style (Barrel Roll Call) and 1 for advertisement/others (Sweet Rides). Clarice my friend on Destiny noticed this competition on bungie website and told me about it. I was really intrigued by the competition as well as the prizes they were offering! So I started to race more to get some great clips. Everyone remembers getting the timebreaker and how it explodes if you hit both bumpers down. Well this one race I got bashed left and right, hit the spinning blades and missed multiple speed gates! This is when I thought screw it! So I hit both bumpers and zoomed passed everyone from 5th to 1st!! Then my name popped up and I had won!!!! I looked at the time and I only won by 0.001 seconds! (Hence the name of the video timebreaker 0.001). My first thought was how the f*** did I win?...and then the next thing I thought was this will make a great competition video! So I had it all planned out, I'm just gonna use the last part of the video (about 30secs) as it's the most interesting part and I didn't want to make viewers bored! Next came the music, I scoured all over YouTube for dance/cyber music that had a drop in the middle where you know sh** was gonna go down! Next was uploading it onto the PS4 video editor to put the video together. The software was actually really good! And it allowed me to create slow-motion when I entered one of the gates (music dropped) I zoomed pass 4 players and won. I thought this is the definition of 'Rubbin's Racin'' if I don't win I should at least get a mention! I remember the 24th December was the announcement of the winner, and as you do, you always check the competition to see what others have created. And in my opinion I created a short video that grabs viewers attention, it followed the criteria of the competition, it had great music and great editing. I thought I was a sure win for the category! But when they announced the winner, I was devastated! The winner of 'Rubbin's Racin'' was I believe a streamer/YouTube.... he created a video entered into this category which had not relevance to the criteria, the length of the video was a chore to watch and his editing skills were all over the place! Unfortunately I could not find the page where they announced the winner, because I would like to watch it again and confirm that I still stand by what I thought at the time! There's only 2 reasons why this person won the category. Either bungie chose him because of his fan base or bungie did this competition so half heartedly they couldn't even be bothered to watch all the submissions. I urge you all to share this rant so at least true destiny players and fans can enjoy this videos awesomeness! Also if someone could find that winners video and post the link here that would be great! Kind regards! jansenma
