With the prestige level raid dropping next week, I thought it would be a laugh to speculate what kind of mind -blam!-ery and torture that Bungie intend to put on us for the prestige raid. Keep in mind this is all speculation and purely guess work. Also keep in mind when I wrote this, no details were released about the changes for the raid, so I’m operating with a blank slate here. Pleasure Gardens: * Tankier dogs. * Less time to collect glowing spores * Only one beam crystal. So only one spotter that has to cover both sides. * One extra spore ball for the 5th person, to help offset some of the extra tankiness of the dogs. * Damage phase shorter. Bathing House: * More adds, some of them yellow bar. * Shorter buff from the orbs. * Bather’s have shields. * (This one is unlikely but not out of the question) Can only destroy one batch of crystals at once, forcing you to three phase it. Gauntlet (this one was harder to come up with ideas for) * More adds * Charge explodes quicker. * At the final race, an extra player or two must survive and slam their charges in the middle. Calus * Obviously more adds * Calus is a bit tankier, this ones probably a given. * Enrages after 2nd or 3rd damage phase. * (Now here’s where things start getting far fetched, I know this one is highly unlikely but I thought it was worth mentioning) there now needs to be 4 people in shadow realm, who receive 4 different symbols, BUT NOT AT THE SAME TIME. They get them one at the time, the remaining 2 people outside have to kill all the councillors, in the order the symbols come up. Again I know that one is very far fetched. But I couldn’t really think of anything else. Other * I don’t think the ‘in between’ phases will change too much, more yellow bar adds trying to steal the relics probably. * As for player death, while it’s entirely possible that they will remove player resurrection altogether, I think it’s a bit unlikely. Instead maybe we’ll only get three resurrection tokens shared across the entire team. So there you have it, that’s my two cents worth. Again I stress, this is just me coming up with ideas of the top of my head, I could be way off base, I might not, I’m looking forward to finding out.
