YES they are funny
YES they are legal
YES you can post them
NO it is not very tasteful- today in particular
NO you do not have to virtue signal your patriotism on a thread dedicated to 9/11 memes
YES you have the right to be offended
NO you do not have the right to be safe from Offense
SUGGESTION: SEPT 12 is 9/11 meme day
Keep some things sacred.

Every day is 9/11 meme day
this is a joke, but they can be funny
-
I mean, you can meme on it if you want. I personally won’t because I just don’t like making jokes like that. No matter what country, culture, group, etc. it involves. I’ll just get some whiskey later on and drink to all of them, and all the patriots who died after them since.
-
Sure the memes are unavoidable but there is nothing funny about 9/11

Edited by pValue2010: 9/13/2021 1:24:07 PMHumor can be an outlet for people to deal with death, tragedy, and just the overall -blam!- state of the world. Thats not to say there aren’t mean-spirited people or mean-spirited jokes, but I don’t think anything should be exempt from humor.

Edited by LahDsai: 9/13/2021 7:06:10 AMAh yes, the "Just a prank, bro." of memes. You're are correct though. It's an unalienable human right to be a dick.
-
There's a time and place for dark humor. Helps to be punctual.
-
Yeah 9/11 jokes/memes can be funny af. I tend not to make them in public though just because of all the hassle they tend to generate. Comedy is all about pushing boundaries but you still have to read the room.

One time during during class, my teacher was telling us about the twin towers. And one kid said if the teacher could show us a picture of them. They said yes. And some kid said in the snarkiest voice I've heard:"Remember those things?". If he did not say it with snark, totally fine. But his tone said "Remember those things that were blown up by 2 planes? That's so funny." Next thing I remember I do is I yell at him and say many people died in those towers and he then responded back with "Whatever, all I care is that I was not in those towers." I remember this kid was a complete a hole. Teacher yelled at him too after and gave him detention. Fun times
uwu
I mean those memes are pretty funny and you can post them but I think if you take it seriously you're probably just mad that you're making fun of this thing that got people killed potentially people they know, so it's fine to be mad, but of all the things that are virtue signaled these days I doubt people are worried about virtue signaling their patriotism

Personally they are funny every day.
-
I personally would not feel good about making memes or jokes about it
-
I don't think anyone still here would make memes like that.
