What are your thoughts on the morality/legality of the following issues:
1. I own the Game of Thrones books (A Song of Fire and Ice series). Sometimes, I don't want to have to lug a book around. I'd rather be able to just read them from my phone/tablet. I go online, and download the ebooks, without paying of course. I use them only for my own benefit, and I do not share them with friends/family.
2. I love Fallout 3. Played for multiple hundreds of hours on my 360. I want to check out some mods, and various other options that the PC version allows. I download Fallout 3 for PC, without paying of course, and proceed to play through the entire game.
Thoughts on these? Is it illegal or wrong for someone to do either of these? If so, why?

5 RepliesIt's illegal to download something for free if whoever owns the rights to it doesn't make it free. It doesn't matter what other versions of the product you have or what you're using it for.
