Whether it's for a TV series, video game, movie, book, any sort of story.
And what stories do you think had good endings? Post spoilers if you're going to talk about the ending.
I'll start. I think Batman Begins had a great ending.
If you forgot, Batman and Gordon are talking and the Commissioner gives Batman the joker card, telling him that his work isn't over.
Conversely, what makes a bad ending? Besides Mass Effect 3, what stories do you think had bad endings?
For this, I'm saying the Eragon books and Fallout 3's non DLC ending.

Edited by Mega Blaziken: 7/10/2013 6:54:43 AMOnes that actually finish the story, none of that cliffhanger bullshit like what Halo 3's Legendary Ending, or Halo 2's for that matter, stuff that leaves a shit ton of questions unanswered is stupid, it's like saying "We're going to make sure we can squeeze out one more before we kill this cash cow."

Tits and blood.

A good ending closes all story arcs and finishes with all questions potentially asked earlier on answered. It sounds too simple, but you'd be surprised by how many stories don't have this.
-
An ending that finishes the story but yet leaves a room for the reader's imagination to come in an fill little bits and pieces of the story

Eragon is not ending...

My favorite endings are the ones that let you decide for yourself what happens next. That's why I loved the ending for Halo 3 and didn't want it continue, did Master Chief fight Dinosaurs on a robot planet? Or did he reach some giant ball shaped computer? The best endings are the ones you make yourself.
