If you haven't been keeping up with the whole ordeal, Hideo Kojima and Konami had some unspecified falling out, and as a result, he will be leaving Konami after The Phantom Pain is released. He was originally slated to be working will del Toro on a new Silent Hill game, but as a result of the whole issue, many thought it wouldn't happen. It seems our fears have been confirmed, however.

Damn, I've never played Silent Hill and don't own a PlayStation but this still sucks.

Edited by Smarkdow: 4/26/2015 5:28:44 PMNot too broken up about this. Jump scares do not make a Silent Hill game.
-
I can't say I'm too upset about this. Having 'played' P.T. I think it would probably have been total crap anyway. He should stick to making films...

-blam!- Konami

2015 was supposed to be a good year for gaming.
-
What a shame, I don't own ps but this looked like a good one.
-
Don't worry folks. Kojima loves his fans. A survival horror game of P.T. level of awesome will be released after his studio gets established.
-
That's sad. But if Kojima starts his own studio, there's nothing to stop him making a horror game in the same style he would've made silent hills. Or even hiring del toro himself Though a part of me wonders if he won't create a new hero in the vein of the metal gear series, at least as his first game
-
Holy shit. That's a masterpiece that won't happen.
-
That picture is too true for big Silent Hill fans.... I guess I'll have to wait for the collaboration when Kojima makes his own studio/team. Unless he retires.
-
Thought it was dead when Kojima left. Oh well, that's a shame.
-
As a huge Silent Hill fan this is a punch to the gut. P.T. showed huge potential for the future of SH. And now nothing. Such a letdown.
-
Well, shit.
-
Praise MS.
-
Damn. I feel for Sony on this one, Silent Hills was a major game for them. Big chunk out of their line up for this year.

Nooooooooo
