There's something magical about playing the support character or build in a multi player RPG. Casting that perfectly timed ability or health buffering spell can make an impact. That undoubtedly difference between total group annihilation and magisterial group synchronization.
This type of class (used effectively ) requires great communication and timing, amongst your group. It is also a class type in many RPG like games that is the most easily recognized and targeted.
So! How many of you have taken dedication to this heavy role on you fireteams and raids?
What class?
What build?
What play style?

Defender+Ruin Wings+Corrective Measure+ orb spawn chance on heavy kill=infinite super for your friends.

You guys are getting support and defensive mixed up. Support is hands down Radiance defensive is Defender.
-
Defender titan. Song of flame would be pretty amazing for support if it didnt suck tho. I think the charge rate for teammates should be doubled and the radius tripled and i would use it all the time
-
Defender hands down. You can give your team extra attack power, extra defense, (with helm of saint 14) a choke point, or even a safety zone to push from. Back in the day before the dark below a defender bubble on atheon could cut the fight in half. Sunsinger has the potential to be a good support class, but everyone just uses self rez so they almost never use the support abilities.

Sunsinger

Bubble Titan

The only good support class is Defender. Regardless, much respect to the support players, you give me extra benefits and stay out of my way and you're the best teammate I could ask for.

Edited by Devasstator: 7/1/2015 1:55:01 PMMost of my friends and I treat the bladedancer class as a support class in PVE. This is great for stealth/objectives due to the cloaking. Makes PoE and Crota so much quicker and easier. I know it's not supposed to be a support class, but blade dancing enemies in high level activities is usually pointless and you won't even kill a single yellow with it unless they are almost dead.

Edited by Thanatos6293: 7/1/2015 12:54:22 PMDefender Titan running blessing or weapons. Gift of the void so your bubble spawns 5 orbs if you stay close. Iron harvest with a machine gun. Every kill has a chance to spawn an orb and last the never skill that always spawns an orb when force barrier is active. You can then proceed to become the orb factory you are meant to be. And that's all I run when I'm Titan. Friends love it. They always have their super I spawn orbs so fast.

You're playing the wrong game my friend...
