In my time in Destiny I've dismantled a lot off exotics, both weapons and armor because I thought they were useless or too ugly to wear. I want some of them back and I thought with the taken King new exotic system I would get my chance to collect. At the Blueprint Kiosks in at the tower it says for that I haven't discovered them!??? I specifically remember wearing them and using them in raids or missions, sooo... DOES IT NOT COUNT AS A "DISCOVERY" IF YOU DISMANTLED THE EXOTIC ALREADY???
