i was threatened by players saying that I will get banned last week when I was lagging for a game in trials of Osiris out of no where, they had a clip and I was lagging hardcore, I wasn't even doing trials to get loot was just helping friends, is there any chance that I will get banned for just internet problems? plz help im very worried because destiny is the only game I like and play due to im very focused on specific stuff because I have aspergers. Ps I even told them that I wouldn't get a kill for the rest of the game and we still won but they said they would still report me plz help! what do we do if we get falsely accused because I can tell you I wasn't and now im sad due to I have to worry because I was red bar one or two games but you cant just ditch your fireteam. it puts me off playing crucible, because people see a red bar and start calling cheats, would you be able to help me.

It takes more than just reports for a player to earn a restriction or ban. Bungie takes these very seriously and look into each situation. If it was just a rare occurrence, you should not worry, however if you are having constant connection problems, you should definitely look into trying to solve the problem. I highly recommend you go through the Networking Guide.

They're probably forcing you to be the problem. In the very first part of this link there is another link. Check it out: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1-fEeXM3B9z1hUwXY4orFaEnaq3WkkhN5XlUNc4ULTss

Edited by Nishikienrai: 10/28/2016 4:27:35 AMYou can get banned for having really bad connection across multiple games, but if it was only bad for a game or two, you probably won't be banned. I'd lay off of crucible until you know for sure that your connection is stable just to play it safe.
If you’re manipulating network traffic, or if your connection is so bad that you’re unintentionally compromising the experience of other players, we’ll issue a temporary restriction from all Crucible activity.
More information here: Bungie's Ban and Restriction Policy

If it was only one game, then you should be fine. That said, however it is against to the rules to have bad internet and lag. Simply lagging won't get you banned but will get you restricted from certain parts of the game for sets amount of time.

i just dont know what to do if you know what i mean? i didnt do anything wrong and im getting threats to get banned over it
If I am reported when I am genuinely lagging, will I get banned?
I sure hope so, but probably not. Bungie has yet to ban some well known criminal DOSers that have been doing it for profit for over a year. You should be safe.
