Where Can I Get Common-Rarity Special Weapons?
This may seem like a bit of an odd question, but I was wondering if there was any way for high-level characters (Lvl. 40, 400 Light) to acquire common-rarity weapons (specifically Snipers). I've been using the Duke Mk.10 a lot in PvP to try and improve my gunplay, and I want to get a common-rarity sniper to add to my loadout.
I know you can get the Calcutta from the chest in the tutorial, but you need to be a Hunter to get it, and my Hunter was my first character and the one I have the most time invested into, so deleting her isn't really an option.

In Destiny common weapons are very rare and legendary weapons are very common.

4 RepliesTry doing the vanilla quests from the abandoned quests kiosk. A lot of the rewards from finishing missions are old gear.

1 ReplyIf u mean low level like Y1 - I think lvl 28 PoE, it will probably take a lot of play to get what you want tho. Either that or open the golden chests, if u didn't already, one of them on Venus gives u the Hieracon-LR5 not sure if it's any use to you tho.

Definitely do the level 28 PoE, it will give you the year one weapons and you can find some pretty decent ones too, including the ones that you can reforge at the gunsmith. Although yes I am talking about the low attack power ones, so if you want the higher ones then just keep looking for engrams. I love going into the crucible with weapons no one has seen in years, I get so many messages from people asking what the heck I'm using. If you're on PS4 then hit me up if you want to go into crucible with crazy weapons and have fun.
