First off, I want to say I love Destiny. It has been one of my favorite game series of all time. I also love the Iron Banner, Rise of Iron, and really anything that has to do with the Iron Lords and their lore. It is because of that, I am trying to collect the full armor set for the current Iron Banner. Unfortunately, I have one piece left (the Hunter leg armor) and I am losing confidence in ever getting it. I played when the Iron Banner came the first time around and I am playing now, but it's really turning into a grind fest and it just doesn't feel rewarding to get the same Pulse Rifle over and over again. So, instead of ranting about it and moving on I have a constructive suggestion that I hope Bungie would consider implementing (from one Destiny-lover to another): Right now the whole token system is fine, but I think it would be better and more fulfilling if you could exchange them for the specific weapons and armor you want instead of it being random. It kind of combines the system from Destiny 1 with the system we have now. That way Guardians could play Iron Banner and then exchange that time (in the form of tokens) for the items they want. It just doesn't feel like a good use of time to play it for hours only to get repeat drops. Even better though, I think this is a concept that can be applied to ALL vendors, be it Devrim Kay in the EDZ (which I think these types of vendors should give gear that's more relevant to higher light level Guardians, but that's a whole other topic) to Shaxx in the Crucible. This system would allow Guardians seeking specific armor sets and weapons to acquire them in a more practical way, making the rewards feel more like rewards than random junk to dismantle. Plus, I believe there are plenty of Guardians out there that enjoy collecting all armor sets for the sake of completing their collection and this concept would help stream line that. Again, I love this game, I know Bungie loves this game, and I think a lot of Guardians do too (even the ones ranting about it - they rant because they are passionate about it and the potential it has). I know that there are a lot of grievances people have with it, but the overall concept and story is good... really good. Keep working at it and I think we'll have something truly amazing.
