Bungie said that they will make them buyable in the kiosk with glimmer, but this one-time use consumables crap needs to stop, I don't want to feel restricted on what I can put on my character, and this is not how shaders work.
In D1 shaders felt special like emblems as you can really collect them, and adorn them as your own, but now they just lost that magic in my opinion because shaders are not like emblems.
(I put this video up because I think this guy clearly summarizes and explains the whole issue with them.)

Either make them consumable but free to apply, or let us collect them but then they cost glimmer to apply.

What else are you going to do with the 99999 glimmer you constantly have in your inventory?

Not exactly sure how this is all going to work, sounds like I will need to run around the Tower more than I’d like to though. Always thought that keeping a collection of found/earnt, shaders, much like exotic or emote collections, though it simply costs glimmer to apply, plus add an “apply all” option. Having to run around for no reason seems to be rather popular with the dev team at times.

Edited by Emurinus: 7/8/2018 10:34:08 PMImo, they should be unlimited like they were in D1, but the better shaders should be harder to obtain (such as Chatterwhite requiring you to complete VoG to get). Make them actual rewards rather than a simple one-time vanity item. Once it's obtained, you can then use it from your inventory at any time because once you get it, you've earned it.
