Has Shaxx ever removed his helmet?
I know, I know, hypothetically, yes, he coudl’ve. But have we ever read or heard or seen any evidence of Shaxx removing his helmet? In that one lore collectible where Mara Sov... [i]invites[/i] Shaxx over, it says “The helmet stayed on.” Now this may just be some suggestively misleading language, but what if its not? What if Mara Sov was [i]hoping[/i] for Shaxx to take off his helmet? Is there some secret he hides behind that one-horned mask? We don’t know what race Shaxx even is, do we? The whole thing seems rather suspicious...
Edit: the specific lore entry is The Mark of the Great hunt. And on an added note, it says he’s drinking coffee...but with a helmet on?

Like most of our characters, he is probably ugly as a monkey's ass so he keep his helmet at the tower

There is a theory that, shaxx is the one talking in the dark forest when you go get your sunbreaker subclass. If you listen carefully, his voice sounds different, probably because he has his helmet off. But, as he says, he likes lady efrideet, and they like their helmets

Well the helmet Stayed on and I can make theory’s why. Mara summoned shaxxs out of dreams and illusions or whatever. Mara Never saw shaxx with his helmet off so the illusion shaxx based on her memory’s had the helmet stay on because she hasn’t seen his face. Just a theory though. And for shaxxs face, we don’t know.

Dude if he drinks coffee and has relations with the queen with his helmet on, I doubt he takes it off.

For normal guardians, they take of their helmet. For Shaax, his helmet takes him off.

He stood at the Vanguard table in the Tower with Ikora and Cayde for years and never once took it off. Nor has he in D2.

And the other to groom that beautiful hair of his every blue moon. (Hes ruggedly chiselled so hes wary of every ones self confidence so the helmet stays on for good reasons)
