Any tips for me?
I'm starting today the perhaps longest grind I've ever undertaken in D2. I'll be solo queuing the Vanguard strike list.
Have you tried to get it?
What I've found about it so far:
* it used to drop in heroic strikes. Today this should be the Vanguard playlist. True?
* it also drops in Nightfall strikes. Is the drop rate higher in Nightfall?
* Fireteam medallion may help
Stuff that helps me keeping track of strikes:
Emblem 'Struck a Nerve', triumph 'Strike Specialist'
Drop rate: Somebody wrote strike catalysts drop every 60-70 strikes.
How long did it take you?

CATALYSTS FROM COMPLETING A STRIKE These catalysts come from completing heroic strikes or defeating Nightfall bosses. They have an extremely low drop rate. COLDHEART To complete the catalyst once it drops, you’ll need to get 300 kills. Completing the catalyst will net you +20 stability and +20 reload speed.

I need to do this one too, I forgot I got the catalyst a couple of weeks ago until you mentioned it. Thanks!

I never really focused on the catalyst in strikes... So it is hard to say what to do. I did, however, use the weapons in hopes that it would do something to speed up the drops. I always pop a fire team medallion, I play with the gun that I want a masterwork for(I do not think it helps, but I got most by doing this), and I usually top the amount of kills in strikes. Happy hunting! The Prometheus lens is way too good in pve right now... if you do not have this one, I say go for it. It feels like a delete button.

I couldn’t get any Strike Catalyst to drop in Year 1 but after Forsaken they started dropping for me. Only one I’m missing now is Risk Runner.

I got it from doing strikes. If you haven't got loaded question yet do that quest at the same time since it requires 40 strikes. The catalyst itself is one of the easiest to unlock once you have it. Just kill stuff.
