Fun little video I made demonstrating inconsistencies with DMT and hipfire accuracy (even with the catalyst) since the nerf.
Hoping for more people to take notice, think a fix is warranted.
Not against adjusting further for balance, but the behavior is currently unpredictable which makes it frustrating as opposed to a known quantity.
Very detailed reddit post made a few weeks ago.

Yeah, it has. I love DMT. It's one of my favorite exotics, but the nerf ruined it on controller.

Ironic that the nerf was supposed to hit primarily pc, but from what I can tell, it hit CONTROLLER harder. Tsk tsk. Kinda screwed up again Bungie…

Are they supposed to be guaranteed crit hits from hip-fire? I always thought hip-fire was never a guaranteed crit on any weapon, it just had a chance to happen instead regardless of the animation of the bullet. The hit registration is occurring on a different place on the hitbox than what you're seeing due to the auto-aim cone being anywhere within the reticle. So you can "see" a headshot but the actual hit was placed somewhere else.

It is quite frustrating as of late. Hipfire gunfights feel like a real roll of the dice now. Losing a gunfight especially when you know you had the upperhand feels like such a slap in the face. This Iron Bananna proved more annoying than normal. I find myself ADSing more and more, even in close range fights. I'm lucky my PvP version uses Snapshot.

Should have never been nerfed in the first place. It was the only primary gun that was consistent. Now back to ghost hand cannon bullets, pea shooter scouts and 2 shot snipers. What a joke PvP is.

The coding of SRs in general right now is glitchy/wonky.

Even with targeting mods it wont get the headshots in many situations. Its definitely bugged
