So, after 2 years I decided to give Destiny2 another go due to positive feedback on steam about Witch Queen.. Had some spare money from selling some junk lying around the house and decided to spend it on Destiny2. Bought Witch Queen and Beyond light
And now I regret that decission.. Seems I just changed one sort of trash for another
After the beyond light campaign I'm now expected to run a massive amount of side quest just to fully unlock Stasis super. At first it didn't seem to bad untill I started doing the 4 part quests. Oh my god, who designed this utter tripe? This is padding out gameplay to the next level. Every part is broken down into another 5 steps and you have to do basically the same in every part of unlocking it. Why? Just why?
And then we have the fragments unlock quests; which are limited to 2 a week!! Again, WHY? For all fragments it takes 7 weeks to finally get them if you can stomach all the boring stuff around it.
To get all this done requires so much micromanaging your character you spend more time changing stuff around (super, abilities, mods, ...) then actually doing something. Take all the bounty requirements like gunsmith, gambit, etc into account and you hardly ever leave the director once you finish setting up you character to do 1 activity.
When I left this game due to sunsetting it was a dumpster fire of:
- do this with weapon A
- do this with weapon B
- do this with void
- do this with solar
- do this while on fire, emoting, jumping and standing on your head while charged with light
All for next to nothing in rewards because all the goodies are in eververse
Oh and I also discovered Armour Synthesis and how to unlock what you already have unlocked in collections to use as appearance customization. This again is f***ing gatekeeped behind task, time or a huge paywall...
*** insert jesus f****ng christ meme here ***
My God, Bungie, what in the actual f**k have you done in these 2 years? This game is not deserving to be paid for. How this is developped, it should be fully free to play; all of it; all of the content and only Eververse as MTX shop...
This is not AAA anymore, this is Indie studio design at best

I did something similar playing saints row Iv Where you had to do tutorials when unlocking Abilities so I knew what was in for at the start Of the campaign.
