It's an exotic heavy that if properly buffed could have potential. Why hasn't it been brought up to par with other heavy weapons? It's just collecting dust in most players vaults.
Leviathans Breath should be a dps beast in my opinion.

HERESY Levi is amazing.
-
It's a -blam!- bow. Why the hell would a bow out dps or even compete with some of the top heavy weapons? Makes 0 sense. Just like the fact that these even exist in Destiny
-
It’s already really good. You just need the catalyst for it to be a top tier option. Great chunk damage, max reserves(no mod needed) built in champion mods, and ability to perma stun quite a few bosses. Not every weapon needs to be “DPS META”. And saying that, it’s not even bad.
-
I hope is does get a buff. With Divinity out of the picture now, getting crits constantly will be tougher, and in turn should be more rewarding. Damage should be a slight buff. I see Levi as a great balance between burst damage and total damage. The performance will boil down to the user. 25 Arrows is sufficient, before someone opens their mouth, that's the hard cap on Linears, don't try it. 5-10% damage increase, 25 arrows, perfect.

Edited by hate n payne: 10/12/2022 12:40:44 PMIt needs the draw time lowered again. It is a heavy bow, nobody is going to use it for every single DPS phase. Wish-Ender should be lowered to 800. LB should be lowered to 1000.
-
Have you used it lately? lol. If you hit Crits it’s actually really good. I use it all the time.
-
As long as it's never DPS meta, sure. Go for it. But F**k bows.
-
darci..? Whisper of the worm..? Even EoT. There are more weaps which are basicaly trash. Ppl were asking for buffs for those weaps and nothing came which could put them into some usage, even some were nerfed (EoT doesnt have tracking vs pvp targets nowdays for example)
-
I don't think I've fired a single arrow from it. I think I needed it for infusion when it came out so I did that and never pulled one from collections. I knew what it did, but it didn't seem all that appealing. That and I dont know that I've seen more than 1 or 2 people using it since it came out.
-
Not every heavy needs to be a boss dps weapon, I think that leviathan’s breath should instead be the heavy hitting champion destroyer weapon. One idea would be allowing the use of different anti-champion arrows. Kinda similar to how you can slot different buffs in aeons, you could slot different arrows before an activity for different champions.

Bruh it slaps in patrols. Leave it alone. Y’all always wanna buff -blam!-

Edited by Daemon White: 10/8/2022 11:58:13 PMLeviathan is in an interesting place for DPS. Most weapons tend to start strong and trail off as you keep firing mostly due to reload speeds. Xenophage for example (I ran on Kalli): On it's own, that first 13 shots is 22.8k DPS. After the reload you drop to 17.5k and now you're out of bullets. 26 shots within 15.6 seconds unbuffed. I think it holds 28, I accidentally saved the wrong damage clip and have to redo it. Leviathan's Breath held a steady 15.5k and slightly increased to 16k in that same amount of time and still had arrows leftover. 8 shots within 15.6 seconds, but you still have 7 more since it holds 15. So it could definitely use a buff, BUT, it also holds steady in longer DPS phases or if ammo is scarce. ...I have not yet done DPS testing with linear fusions yet (Just working on heavy exotics atm), so information still being gathered. As for "But what about X boss?" I find that damage tends to remain relative amongst same-class enemies. It might go up or down, but the Damage remains the same relative to each gun. For example: Templar takes 2.271x more damage than Kalli and it's consistent with every gun since Templar is also a Raid Boss enemy.

It's a shame because it's a fun weapon to use but not viable for any endgame content. Bump.
-
It’s actually pretty good already.
-
Leviathans Breath also staggers bosses. At higher end activities, a split second to slow down the pace could be the difference between wiping and going to orbit.
-
Considering how long it takes to fire, it needs a much bigger damage boost, even with the Catalyst which basically just gives you a few more arrows (15 max). I used to love using it, but it simply doesn't cut it anymore.
-
Doesn't it have like the same damage as a rocket?
-
I liked it in pvp but that delayed detonation they added for pve kinda ruined it. Supers can just run out of the detonation and it won’t even hit them now smh 😂

Problem solved

Edited by VEXTERMINATOR-btd203: 10/8/2022 8:53:50 PMI've noticed this is getting dislikes. Do players really think Leviathans Breath in it current state is good for anything other than Unstoppable Champions? I'm seriously curious.
-
Do you have its catalyst?
-
I stopped using it after they changed the damage. Feels too inconsistent now on Unstoppables. There are better options.
-
Edited by Verke0: 10/9/2022 9:27:57 AMI like it, it doesnt do much damage per shot, but it stunlocks bosses and has a high total damage value. An ammo reserves increase would be great though.
-
I take this bad boy into non legendary lost sectors and public events. I must say….. it absolutely slaps.
-
Agreed. Initially it was great, but it does not do a lot of damage or work well in lost sectors as it should. It needs more arrows and to be a faster draw.
-
Is this another 'judged by GM scale' thing where the only answer just so happens to be more damage for a mode that gimmickly reduces damage? Because that's getting myopic.
