Bungie makes iron banner control zones, cap zone trials, then tell Titan mains to play either stasis or void to get pinnacles knowing good and well no Titan main is gonna really chose behemoth of bubble. They do this for months on end then turn around and say bubble is over performing and deserves a massive nerf. Your data is skewed to make a particular subclass the most used and it’s disingenuous.
What makes it worse is that amidst all of this you all have known that subclasses like Behemoth have been underperforming since the nerfs to it in pvp and not one mention of a buff or fix to behemoth Titan. You instead ignore that data about that. Removing damage buffs from sunspots something was a core part of the sunbreaker subclass since D1 taken. Then you give these long cooldowns for these supers and wonder why know one uses them. Where are the buffs and fixes? Revert Behemoth back to what it was and do the same for sunbreaker. We want to be radiant while in a sunspot.

Also I would like to add that not everyone has Beyond light! it's either use a paid subclass or free subclass it's a no brainer to pick void.
-
Bubble has 13500 HP in an environment where primaries can slaughter other supers in just a portion of the mag. You will keep your weapons of light if your 8k HP bubble gets destroyed. You can plant a wall on the inside and get over shield. This wasn't about over abundance of use when it was the obvious choice. It just became obvious how excessive the health was for not splitting the pve and pvp sandbox.
-
Or maybe they know they’re going to nerf these things already and let you be overpowered with them for one last season. Trust me Bubble didn’t suddenly become a problem because IB, Bubble has been a problem in literally every single objective based gamemode since it and Well became the fastest charging supers in the game.
-
This logic but applied to invis nerfs because of omni and gyrfalcons, at least the cheese was granted because of an exotic.
-
I agree, but I can’t be the only Titan main that hates bubble? Sentinal shield all day….when running void
-
Like it or not a majority of pvp modes are area control. And bubble is the best area control in the game.

Edited by Chunk: 2/10/2023 9:55:24 PMI find it funny that in a mode where most players were running stasis or void because of the challenges, bubble was more of a complaint point then invise hunters...
-
Bubble is an incredibly overused super in every gamemode, not just the IB mode. That mode only pronounced the issue due to being an objective mode. It’s also been a huge problem in trials since it basically guarantees a round unless the enemy has a shutdown super.
-
Subclass usage had nothing to do with the bubble nerf, they explicitly said it was because it was too oppressive to fight against without a super.
-
I agree with them using flawed data but we all know that bubble was hardly beatable
-
That might be partially true for iron banner but let's be real. If there was no subclass challenge you guys would still be cheesing bubble soon as you saw the mode has a capture point. Trials is proof of this. You see plenty of arc titans then when it's zone capture trials you suddenly see full teams of void titans. There's no challenge forcing titans to go void in trials either. People play the cheesiest stuff, it's how pvp is and crying to bungie for nerfing something you guys endlessly cheese soon as there's a zone to capture is stupid.

Or, hear me out… the increased usage just made the balance issues more noticeable? Because the Super was suddenly dragged into the spotlight? Hmm? Or maybe it’s just “Bungle bad, boongie mean hur dur” Cmon. I know Titans are high off paint fumes with crayon wax for brains, but please. Look past your bias, stop searching for ill intent where there is none.

Void Titan has been overtuned since void 3.0 came out, even with multiple nerfs.

Edited by TheHopeWithin: 2/12/2023 9:09:14 PMOne GL shot from quicksilver can completely destroy my well. At full health with 100 resil and standing within the well, I can be one shot K.O with an aggressive sniper Bubbles are overpowered in control It’s just facts Did bungie stoke the fires? Yes they 100% did But tbh it was probly done intentionally to gather data on bubble before the adjustment.
-
Bungie will nerf according to usage nothing new here move along.
-
But yet Invis is allowed to continue to run rampant. smh... Bungie literally taking sides.

If they nerfed stuff for overuse, they'd need hunters, since they're used by over 40% of players. There's a reason, because they're the literal best class at everything.

Let’s just call it what it is. Bungie hates Titan. Nerf TCrash and Void (Survivability.). Nerf our abilities, then give us a super that’s basically Striker 3.0 (Arc, Stasis and Strand). You know how all Titans do is punch punch punch. Imagine if we had a distance super. The other classes have all different supers and abilities. Ours basically change color. I’ve been a Titan since D1, Fire Hammers seemed like an opening into something new. I was wrong. “Wait and see Hulk Smash 3.0”. Ugh. Why not a meteor or smash the ground and a wave of Strand waves out in all directions like a title wave. “No ArchNin, punch punch punch. That’s your super. Oh and throw a few hammers and make a purple hut. That’s what you get.” #Bored

It's like they bait and switched the player base.... Pretty lousy to do that to us.
-
I think I played stasis for a match or two, because I hadn’t really used it (didn’t like it before and still don’t really-I don’t like any of the stasis classes)
-
yep say goodbye to bubble. A super that previously required another super to shut it down, or maybe even a well placed barricade or shouldercharge, now only requires a few people shooting primaries at it for a few seconds. Whoever made this decision at Bungie needs to be fired or demoted.
-
Bungie hates bubble Titans or something. First, they reduce the damage buff to be the same as Well of Radiance, effectively making Well better in every way, since you can shoot while inside it. Then, they reduce the bubble’s size for some reason, while also making it impossible to choose between sentinel and bubble on the fly like we used to. Now they’re messing with its HP. Crazy how Warlocks talk about how much Bungie hates them, when Hunters get their exotics disabled every time one releases, and Titans get slammed whenever they actually live up to the expectation of being a tank. Lorelei deserved to be nerfed. But bubble? Really? You can counter it with any super. Even roaming supers.

Edited by Kiro - 13: 2/11/2023 2:04:22 AMLets be clear, before IB game type "Fortress" Bungie was aware of bubble titans strength. They mentioned it in a TWAB saying that at the bottom and top end of the skill bell bubble/void titan was over performing. Fortress was a way to further solidify that data, why do you think the IB challenges were always X+stasis. This is also to collect data on the stasis subclass. Bungie makes very many heavy handed decisions based on analytics, with actual testing taking a back seat or non-existent on the Bungie side & the bulk being done by players which the GDC presentation further solidified this fact. White knights need to get off their horses and acknowledge PvP is neglected. I do for the most part have nothing but praise for the PvE side of things.

bring everything to be equally good, there's lots of dead exotic armors to rework. also seperate pvp and pve nerfs.

BEEN GOING ON SINCE D1. FIRST AUTO RIFLE NERF: IRON BANNER DEMANDS AUTO RIFLE KILLS, SAME TIME XUR SELLS SUROS REGIME. RIGHT AFTER: “Hey uhhh we noticed Auto Rifles were overperforming in Crucible uhhhh” THEN POW WE GET AUTO NERF, FOLLOWED BY THE THORN/LAST WORD META FOREVER
