Bravely Default, 3DS game of the year, calling it now.
Only played the Demo so far of course, but it's amazing.
- Great visuals and graphics
- Fast-paced, even though it's turn based, combat system
- Interesting and colorful character models
- Large role diversity for characters
- Expansive and detailed universe
- Nice character diversity so far, two males and two females
- At least 20 hours of play-time in the Demo alone
- Extra content in the final game for going the distance in the demo
- Befitting soundtrack and themes
Amazing. Superb. Fantastic. Essential. Must have. Shut up and take my money.
If you haven't played yet, do the Villager Glitch for citizens so you have earlier access to better gear unlike me, this also gets you the hardest Play Bonus to acquire faster.

1 ReplyTried it out but gave up interest pretty fast. Only turn based stuff I like are card games and Pokemon...so I've been "eeeehhh" on major games like Final Fatansy. And kinda lost all interest when I found out I have to rebuild a town questions what type of game it is then...well got bored real quick but I see it has good hype from demo players.

20 RepliesSorry. Ni No Kuni: Wrath Of The White Witch. JRPG of the year. Seriously, go look up any gameplay video of it. It's one of the best I've played. Make sure you're watching the PS3 version and not the DS version.

1 ReplyWhat build would you recommend? Right now, I'm trying a 2x Mythril Spear, Ninja, 2x Crescent Moon with a supporting Multitask, Two-Handed, and Angelic Ward set on all four. On my previous battle with the Adamantite Shell, I used a 2x Mythril Spear, Valkyrie, attack attack Jump set, and it worked well.

1 ReplyYou thought the combat was fast-paced? I've only played the demo, but to me it seemed slow as poke. And I'm sure it's a good game, but the demo assured me it's not [i]my[/i] sort of game.

3 RepliesIt's a great game, truly awesome, but ultimately far too easy. The Brave/Default system is game breaking in places. I think it would have been better allowing you to Brave only once, to gain one extra move, as you can kill most mobs in less than one full team rotation without even getting hit. Still, pleased with the game and my purchase. Can't wait for the recently announced Bravely Second to come out in EU.
