Ruin wings
Just unlocked the perk for the ruin wings and if I'm honest I'm not really noticing much difference in heavy ammo drops. Is anyone else noticing this or just me?

1 ReplyI don't know what these people are talking about, I get a lot more heavy ammo. I play three classes and have a ton of hours, so I know the difference. It's night and day, and the quantity of ammo in the drops alone is worth it. 4 Gjallarhorn rockets per drop, with more frequent drops = never actually fighting a major again

It's still random whether it not heavy drops, it is more frequent in my opinion.

They are broke af. My Hunter finds more heavy then my titan.

1 ReplyWithout Ruin Wings equipped I had 3 heavy ammo drops in 7kills, all thralls/acolytes. I then tried to test it again and in 196 kills in one story mission I had heavy ammo drop 6 times. The perk is surely either broken or very erratic. For me it's a waste and wearing them in the raid made no difference to drops. Please fix this it would be of great use if it worked properly.

Heavy ammo only seems to drop at increased rates if you still have some in reserve. If your heavy weapon is empty, then the drop rates seem to go back to normal.

Mine are maxed and i think they're broken as shit. Ill do entire strikes with them on and get literally zero heavy ammo drops. Nothing not a single one. Waiting for fix i guess :/

It seems to go in spurts. There are times when I have to leave 5-6 heavy ammos laying on the grounds since I can't hold anymore and there are times when I go 15-20 minutes without a heavy ammo drop.

I think ruin wings is glitchy, it does not always work, it seems. Used it at omnigull nightfall, because i love to use thunderlord. Got 1 hvy ammo the entire strike! Whats worse, it serms to occasionaly mess with ammo synths too, since i hardly got any ammo i popped a synth, only to find my thunderlord still at 0 ammo :( It seens to have great potential, but for now its in the vault until this is fixed

What's weird is that friends tell me that THEY get a crap-ton of heavy ammo drops sometimes. Every time I am told of this I am not getting any heavy ammo.

6 RepliesHmm it's not a huge increase in boxes dropped but its def noticeable. Along with more ammo per box which is amazing. Closely tied with Armeterium(misspell) for #1 titan exotic.

I do notice a difference but I'll only use it in the run up to and during the crota fight. For almost any other circumstance it's helm of st 14

I only use it in raids for Gjallerhorn ammo... Drops more than usual, they look cool aswell ;)

I don't notice it drop more often, but when it drops there seems to be a ton of it. Not really useful most of the time. When I do grab one ammo pack, it usually refills to almost 100%.

It makes a difference for me I get like 4 packs and each one holds 5 rockets

I noticed a huge difference. Could almost use rocket launcher as a primary.
