Win a game as a solo player against a pre-made team of 4+? Not a chance. Remove this garbage so us solo players can actually have a semi-decent time playing Iron Banner.
Final comment:
Clearly my opinion on the matter of solo players vs pre-made teams is the minority around here. While it's not as fun fighting pre-mades, I'll do as most suggest and "suck it up". Good luck in the rest of your Iron Banner and hopefully I won't meet your teams in battle ^^
Guardian out.
Fine, I understand that playing with a bunch of friends is more fun. How about this: they shove you larger teams in matchmaking for an extra 5 or so minutes on top of basic matchmaking to give a better chance of finding other pre-made teams to fight. If after all that time they still can't match you with another similar sized team (with few randoms; being solo on a team of 4+ against a team of 4+ is fine), then match you with randoms.
Good for you people. You beat one pre-made team. I've beaten pre-made teams before. Doesn't make it any easier. If getting annoyed at having to vs coordinated, communicative teams with my team of unreliable, A capping, triple capping "special" guardians is a crime; sue me.
Just curious: anyone who disagrees not use a fireteam of 4+ in Iron Banner? (In other words, do you solo Iron Banner often to actually see it from my point of view. I've seen the other side: it's really unfair on randoms)
-
I generally play with a fireteam of 3 or 4. But they're actually my friends and my friends SUUUUUUUUCK at PvP. There more of a handicap than anything. I think it's actually made me a better player because I've gotten used to playing with them.
-
No. I play solo the majority of the time and I'm rank 3 I'll be 4 in 3 more victories. Shouldn't take more than an hour.
-
I play solo but if I put in the effort to find a group, I'd expect to roll through pretty much every team we face.
-
Bearbeitet von Fatally: 5/1/2015 2:47:53 AMLonger matchmaking times? No. If you're lucky you can get paired up with good randoms. OR JUST GODDAMN FIND PEOPLE TO PLAY WITH. This is probably the dumbest post ever. There's LFG or the recruitment center or hopefully your clan or group have a team to join. And besides you say you quit before the game even starts. Just in case you didn't know, there are teams out there who suck so might as well get to know them first
-
I play solo always. Maybe a couple matches with 1 friend and that's it. I've beaten serval pre-made teams. Get gud
-
This is just how it is in every fps. It's like this in cod, halo, battlefield, you name it. Sorry, but I don't think it's going to change. P.S. That 5+ extra minutes in matchmaking is just stupid
-
How to fix: Match pre-made teams against pre-made teams and solos on solos
-
Solo most of the time, cause I don't like talking to people. Never had any huge problems.
-
Get some friends. Case closed
-
Some of those fire teams lately in IB are really terrible...

Bearbeitet von Vercingetorix07: 5/1/2015 2:21:55 AMI've destroyed a team of 6 with nothing but non-mic'd blueberries. It can be done. Just because there's a team, doesn't mean they are automatically good. Six uncoordinated, inexperienced players that can rage over the mic to each other does not correlate to a victory. The quality of the players in question is what actually matters.

I think Bungie should have a mode with no parties allowed.
-
I play alone, and I have to disagree. Why keep people from playing with their friends. A good idea would be to match up those premade teams with other premade teams though.
-
Have to agree with you. What should happen is teams of 4+ will be matched up against a team with equal members. Or you know, half of that squad goes to the other team. I like running Crucible and Iron Banner with my friends, but a group of 4+ against randoms just feels too easy.
-
Look at it as a challenge. Even if I don't beat a team of four I like to at least out score them. I play crucible with a group of friends as much as I do solo and rarely do we have a full fire team, but I know both sides of this argument. Man up and play the game. The only way to get better is to play people who are better and who coordinate better. It makes me strive to be better and a lot of the time I get put in my place, but I don't quit. I'd rather be a loser than a quitter. Not only that but the people who back down from a challenge are the ones that ruin crucible more than fire teams of four or more. It absolutely sucks to be short a couple people because the other team is better. Everyone loses from time to time Guardian, its how we handle defeat that makes us who we are. Some strive to make sure that doesn't happen again and some hide in the corner. Which are you?
-
I just went up against a team of 5 and me and 5 other randoms beat the living crap out of them. 11k to 20k. Give it a shot they might suck, no matter their load outs.
-
so, what. when I play with my friends we laugh at everything and have a good time and having them there ups my game and theirs too. and there's not much raging even when we lose because we play for fun.. that's why we do good. what they should do instead is let us opt out of joining games in progress if we're playing solo. I refuse to be a bullet sponge for everyone's heavy and supers
-
Personally with my team we have more trouble going up against randoms than we do another team full teams are more predictable

I recently presented another forum user with an award for most endearingly retarded post ever seen. Seems I need to contact him and let him know he's been bested.
-
I always join games solo, and it is the people who quit games like you that anger me the most. 4/5 of the games I join are already in progress, and about 4/5 of those are onto a team that is getting obliterated with no chance of me helping them make a comeback. It is incredibly frustrating and I wish there was a penalty for quitting games. (Maybe a 10 min lockout from matchmaking or something. If you quit for a legitimate reason besides losing then 10 minutes are unlikely to affect you.)
-
Hey look, this is exactly what would happen if ToO had solo matchmaking
-
I play both ways and what your asking for is the stupidest shit ive heard about iron banner so far.
-
I play solo 95% of the time, and still want you to shut the -blam!- up
-
Just get on forums and find an elite team then. If someone isn't playing that good, boot them. You seem as if you're just wanting wins, and that's the best way to do it. I see you have pretty good Crucible stats (much better than me), just make a prerequisite of a 1.5 K/D or higher or something like that. I've even matched with some pretty bad people from forums, and still won most matches due to communication. Can only imagine what getting a bunch of very experienced players together would bring.
-
I'm sorry I have friends
-
I solo a lot. It sucks. Pre Mades every 2 of 3 games. I suck too, but still.
