Now I believe I have found a way to add trading to Destiny that will make most people happy.
Step 1: It has to be anonymous, this will keep people from selling weapons on eBay.
Step 2: Equivalent Exchange, make it that to get an exotic you have to give an exotic. This will allows people who (if you read this you get a cookie)have too many of jellyhorns for example to get weapons they're missing and spread the love.
Step 3: Thorn, Bad JuJu, Invective, etc cannot be tradable. If you can "easily" get it than you have to get it.
You could even make it that trading is only available while Xur is around, removing the need for him to sell exotics.
Please tell me what you think of my idea, and add any improvements if you can think of any.
If you disagree please give a reason why not.

Step two is foolish imo. I have all the exotic weapons (with duplicates) and all but two exotic armor pieces (with duplicates). Why would I want someone else's exotics? You know the stuff I really need? Weapon and armor parts, motes, PvP legendaries, crucible marks, shaders. My items, MY prices. Also making trading only while Xur is around is not good. I know they are in the minority but some people don't/can't play on the weekends.

Disagree. Trading in this game will ruin it. Trades like a Gjallarhorn for a No Land Beyond should never have a chance. This game is built on RNG. RNG sucks, but learn how to deal with it.
-
How about a trading system where we can trade back to the game and not people? Turn in unneeded exotics, ships, sparrows, materials, for an exotic engram or motes/coins.
-
Nah -blam!- you
-
No, I do not believe trading would ever work and be good
-
The only reason people keep logging in to play this game is RNG. The game after lvl 20 is all about chasing that phat loot. If people could just trade for what they don't have yet, they would realize they don't actually have fun repeating this content and quit as soon as their collection is complete.

Bearbeitet von Kiyoshi-Prime: 6/26/2015 3:42:47 PMEveryone is saying "NO" to trading but, has there been any further mining on the new Bungie registered trade marks and new logo which was established at the end of May beginning of June? According to most reliable gaming websites the new Bungie registered names "Eververse" and "Eververse Trading Company" have speculated that this could be indeed a form of trading coming to Destiny..and since Bungie has committed to Destiny for the next 9 years the website guru's all seem to concur the new trademarks must have something to do with Destiny rather then an entirely new project...of course this is only speculation but it's still food for thought.... And just for the record...I'm a veteran from the 1st month of Destiny release and out of our 16 clan member's I'm the only clan member without the infamous Ghorn....regardless of a possible trading system, I'd still be a resounding "NO" to trading.

No. No trading. I think if you are in a raid group that finishes a raid, prior to leaving the instance, you should have a set amount of time in which you can trade with people in your group for rewards that dropped during the raid. Once you leave the instance, the window has closed. Other than that, no trading.

I don't think Bungie will ever do player to player trading based on what the lead developer has said but what about having a vendor that takes trade-ins. Maybe they are at the tower when Xur isn't. This vendor could buy back materials, ships, shaders and sparrows. I must have a dozen time breakers from VoG and discarding them gives you nothing. Considering a new rare sparrow goes for 175 marks getting 100 back for a gently used time breaker that was only driven through Omnigul once would be a great deal. As for weapons and armor, why not let the vendors that already sell them buy them back then make them available for others to purchase. Their current inventories are pretty shabby. They could have some fun with it like a exo in a trench coat selling ghallahorns for 50 motes of light.

i hope this happens
-
It will happen eventually. Just give it time
-
No because trading was left out for a reason...... That reason being that you can easily just trade get everything and bypass the RNG...... It would break the game..... And equivalently your idea would make xur irrelevant ..... Strange coins/motes irrelevant...... And trading wouldn't technically be anonymous due to the fact that youd have to find someone to trade with leading to an outside the game currency exchange for weapons

Bearbeitet von PiLT CHAMBERLiN: 6/26/2015 1:36:15 AMNo. Every player would have every gun. I feel like the game will give you an exotic a second time before it gives a new one. The game would be broken.

Xur could be the vendor people go to. Like it could be an auction kind of thing.
-
You've been watching a bit of fullmetal alchemist. Trading will never work you already have people offering to run people through trials of Osiris for money. You'll see a great increase in people trying to set up trades on the condition real cash is exchanged.

Trade group in any game is awful, you'll see people on game economy sites selling weapons and making a profit.

absolutely.....
NOT
I stopped reading after the first word...
know

smh
No.
just no
I agree with everything except instead of xur not selling exotics, how about xur offers a random exotic for another random exotic. Tgis will prevent people from trading all their stuff to OTHER PEOPLE
-
+1 But we all know it is Bungie. So lets not dream and just admit this will "NEVER" happen
