Destiny 2 reboot? Yes, please.

I'm accepting hate for this haha. It's fine. See, I started playing destiny in december of 2014 and haven't stopped since. As time went on I would complete everything for that particular expansion and then take a few months off. Simply because.... it gets old running the same. exact. missions/raids. over and over. After I completed everything I wanted in The Taken King (All exotics, etc) I took another few months off until POE got a reboot which attracted me for about 3 weeks. Then... again, I was on to other games. Back when destiny was a NEW game, in 2014, there was no "taking months off" because it was entirely new, and we were getting hit with new game expanding content regularly, and the RNG (though impossibly frustrating) kept us on the edge of our seats as we would beat raid bosses for that ONE WEAPON we wanted SO bad. There was such a big world (universe) to explore at the time, and the secrets weren't all figured out. But these days? It's more of just sitting back waiting for new CONTENT because the UNIVERSE has dried up. Rise of Iron, was the last straw. And i'm saying this in the nicest way possible, i'm not salty about this expansion whatsoever. I think the little team that put this together did a fantastic job! However with that said, I could almost feel the warmth from the light at the end of the tunnel with this one. I've been following EVERYTHING about Destiny very closely, the drama in 2013-14, them having to scrap the story in it's entirety and salvage a product that was just not ready to ship. Bungie is a highly talented group of people with a huge amount of ideas but they have been fighting an uphill battle since vanilla. Whether it be the programs they use or the time restraints, they haven't been able to implement even a fifth of the things that they wanted for this game initially. We can see the framework for these ideas, but we have all felt that the universe was oddly barren, right? Right. With all of that said. I hope that they do themselves and us a favor and just start over. Please, start over? Some people may get up in arms about losing everything they have worked for over the 3 years of Destiny 1, but we got THREE YEARS of Destiny 1! We all have complained at one point or another about the direction of the game right? Well, why not scrap the entire thing, keep what worked, abandon what didn't, create the next chapter in the Destiny universe, and move on to bigger and better things. (I heard a rumor about massive planets with towns/outposts? Yes please.) Do we really want to keep playing the saaaammmmmeeeee things (patrols/ multiplayer maps/raids/strikes) for the next 7 years? Do we want MORE recycled content for the next 7 years? Do we want another prison of elders/archon forge/ court of oryx? Well, maybe.... Do we want a year 5 Thorn quest? Lol Not really... Or do we want an entirely new game (prequel/sequel) that gets out of the Destiny 1 timeline, allowing Bungie to put that time period into context, laying out the cause and effects of such a time, giving us an entirely new perspective of the universe without entirely eliminating the lore. Imagine going back in time before the darkness attacked the traveler and being there when it happened. (in some way idk) Imagine thousands of years from this point in the game, when the traveler is back to power and yet there is a huge conspiracy as to what it's true purpose was. Imagine playing the story in the universe that the traveler was in BEFORE ours, and seeing why it left! There's so much they can do. So please Bungie, scrap this version of destiny and give us something entirely new. Even the salty folks will love it, let's face it =]
