Hello,
This topic is a little weird. Considering we'll all be dead before the 2100s. Heck, probably be dead around 2060s, or 2070s. But anyway, what do you people think it will be like. A lot of people have theories of how bad it will be. And some theories of how awesome it will be. As someone who is born in the 90s I probably couldn't comprehend even the slightest predictions. None of us could. Because that is a long time from now.(but I guess thats why they're called "predictions")
I think this makes for an very interesting discussion. Maybe someone from the future will read this decades from now; while they're playing COD: 35 or something.

Bearbeitet von Furiously Dashing: 7/1/2017 10:18:24 PMWell, if we discover the Traveller in the next 10-20 years, humanity will enter a golden age. We will all be dead before the fallen show up. I say good.
But it's actually closer to 2199 already. Billions of people living out their lives... oblivious... to the truth.

Or Star Trek will become a reality. (*=*)
I'm not expecting to still be around then, so I don't really care.

Probably decent. The technology boom in the last 100 years doesn't seem to be going anywhere and with the generations that halted it starting to die out it could only get better. There's also other good trends that have slowly been going on in the past 50 years that won't stop. Like how we are moving away from religion, racist societies like Japan are opening up. Sexiest societies like those in the Middle East are disappearing and the world is generally getting better. People today still complain about shit like Trans people but there's always those groups and they always die out when the next generation gets political power and the previous end up in retirement homes. This happened with racists, homophobes, the whole commie thing etc

There won't be a 22nd century
some of you guys are cool, don't come to earth tomorrow
Martian colonies?

As with all time periods, there will be both good and bad. Ultimately, it's up to us which of those is in greater volume. I'd like to think by the 23rd century, we've gotten all of the bad out of our system. Maybe that's just a fantasy.

The Fallout series portrays the 22nd century quite nicely.
-
I know white people will be a minority by then
-
I'd be surprised if we are all here by 2050-70
-
Imagine if you asked somebody in 1917 what the 21st century would be like. It will be another world entirely.
-
Considering how climate change is going, humans probably have vanished from the earth.
-
If we haven't wiped ourselves out by then, I would imagine that we'd be comparable to The Expanse and/or Eclipse Phase.
-
Well if society collapses I'm going to set up a Viking society
-
Idk. It'll probably be pretty similar to the 21st Century but with more (or less) of the bad stuff.
-
I can also time-travel; cybernetic technology has been advanced, the world has drastically changed to look more futuristic, there are already superpowers that are more easily accessible than now, most common music is Ambient, Trance, Electro, and Synthwave.

All hail Wikipedia! The one true God! The knower of things unknown! The see-er of things unseen! *throws self to ground in praise* We are not worthy!

I'd be lucky to make it to 2100, but who knows.
Cryo-time baby!
Theoretically we are damned close to becoming immortal . . .

Hopefully people would say that the stuff people argued to have rights for today is completely nonsensical and disregard it. But realistically, let's just say I hope the world ends first.

What makes you think we'll all be dead by 2070? By that time, the average life span might be 110 years old.
