Destiny 1 (as in year 1 destiny at launch) convinced me never to pre-order not just Bungie games, but literally any games in general. The Destiny 1 launch was so disappointing, it killed my motivation to be hyped for any game before it releases. So that's the baseline. Vanilla Destiny was an epic disappointment and honestly when you compare Destiny 2 at launch to Destiny 1 at launch, Destiny 2 actually had a bit more to actually do. Just less to grind for.
