The second page of the LSLA says “Bungie grants you the non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited right and license to install and use one copy of this Program solely for your non-commercial use (not intended to make a profit).
There are still paid carries that get offered on this apps own LFG.
This company is really going downhill. I was wondering for a while if it was “legal” for people to offer paid carries, and Bungie just couldn’t do anything. But now I know it’s just because they’re lazy, and spending too much time temporarily removing gameplay elements that highlight how broken their current games economy is.
Moderator Note: I redacted the website linked since it was an advertisement for a service that violates the Terms of Use and Code of Conduct.
How would they actually stop this stuff though? Track down every individual add?
-
Pretty sure you can't police websites that aren't your own
-
Bungie doesn’t have jurisdiction over third party, so they can’t do anything.
-
Lots of people have lost their accounts for doing paid carries over the years. They just turn around and start a new account. This happens on all kinds of games and I don't think any company will ever be able to stop it. The COD series has had it going for many years.

WOW Everyone read the moderator edit. Unbelievable. If it violates the Code of Conduct actually do something about the -blam!-ing website
-
If they do take action they'll have to ban and sue so many people that it's not worth it. More than 1/3 of the people with Luna didn't truly earn it and more than 1/2 the people with NF paid for it, then there's the matter of who payed for it and who was just carried which not long ago there was a post about a guy getting banned for free carries instead of a guy charging a few hundred for it. When finding the truly guilty isn't the problem it's the number of players which makes it too much trouble or hurts the game more than if they do nothing. One of the best ways to fix this would be SBMM based on the highest glory in that group or implement a system similar to what Overwatch has with new accounts on a system with a high ranked account.

Bearbeitet von SpamTheDamage: 4/13/2019 1:06:34 PMThe moderator edit clearly shows that websites that offer paid carries, which I urge you to google to see how many there are, are in violation of the Terms of Service and LSLA, although my own comment is in violation of the CoC, so don’t be too hard on the Ninjas for that. Do you think it’s because of the difficulty involved in shutting these sites down, or wether Bungie can pursue legal action? Do you think it’s because the legal action necessary isn’t worth it to Bungie, based on the amount of people who actually pay for these types of carries/account recoveries?
-
That’s rich that they took out the site for “violating service”
-
I would give a link but as I see Bungie rubs them.

Imagine being so desperate , you pay for a carry.

Bump. The irony of this post is just too thick.
