Due to recent feedback asking for a reduction in the amount of Heavy ammo available in Crucible we are issuing a server-side change to the following modes. These changes should be live now!
Control will now have heavy ammo spawn in at 45 seconds and then every 120 seconds. It was spawning in at 45 seconds and then every 60 seconds.
Clash and Supremacy will now have heavy ammo spawn in at 60 seconds and then every 120 seconds. It was spawning in at 15 seconds and then every 60 seconds.
We don’t have server-side settings to change up the new 3v3 Survival mode but do plan to make the following changes in an update later this month.
Survival will soon have heavy ammo spawn in at 60 seconds and then again 60 seconds later just as the tiebreaker objective spawns. It is currently spawning in at 30 seconds and then every 60 seconds. The amount of heavy ammo granted will be reduced to match the amounts in Elimination and the 6v6 modes. We saw a lot of feedback about making heavy one round or being removed but wanted to make sure there was still an incentive for players to maintain map control and not camp at the edge of the map once they have a life advantage. We will continue to monitor feedback on these changes.

Now if you'll just make it like d1 and whoever's is around when you open it gets it, it will be good

Bearbeitet von mac626: 10/12/2019 1:41:30 PMD1 was so much better more ammo of all types, fun having a choice of weapons and having ammo to use them with, But we lost control of OUR Game so we play the way they want Which guns , armor ammo, class setups etc.... Seems like the whiners and suit and tie dudes run what you play. SEPARATE CRUCIBLE FROM THE REAL GAME. Let them bathe in there nerfed out weak weapons. Give us the power we once had.

Bearbeitet von Post Nut Clarity: 10/11/2019 4:47:56 PMSeriously -blam!- of with cancerous heavy ammo in competitive. I understand it's hard to comprehend because you're Bungie and all.. but use your brains for once and listen to the people actually playing the game. I honestly believe a large part of the players are not playing Gambit for the sole reason of heavy ammo (at least I'm one of them).

Just remove heavy from comp or only make it one round. Idk why you do A when we want B and then you call it listening to the community.
-
Oooooooor just put heavy only in one round in comp games?!?!?! I saw that in other game and it was perfect ooh wait I WAS D1!
-
Remove heavy ammo from comp.

GET RID OF HEAVY AMMO IN COMP

Bearbeitet von TonyWannaBonie: 10/12/2019 11:55:56 PMwho tf thought its was a good idea to make Heavy spawn every 45 and 60 sec? doesn't make any sense
-
Can't we have it like old Trials in D1 where it only spawns on the third round or something. It shouldn't be an every round thing for comp. Shits too cheesy.
-
Can't you people just leave anything alone? Can't you people just not listen to the crybabies? You're helping the crybabies to ruin your game, you know that right?

Bearbeitet von Dredgen Zero: 10/14/2019 6:33:06 AMWhy not just make comp against bots since you guys are forever capitulating when someone doesn’t like being outplayed/beaten/given the best from the start? Why not nerf all ammo in general and just make it a punching game? Seriously, anybody too stupid to deny the other team firepower and advantage is in the wrong game mode snd you guys need to put your foot down. If anti-camping was your goal, then make it happen. If heavy spawns were dynamic and you (Bungie) didn’t suck at spawn locations, it wouldn’t be a(s much of an imaginary)n issue

Bearbeitet von iliopoulosXD: 10/13/2019 1:32:13 AMCan you stop loading me into midmatch lopsided matches please. Are people playing destiny?

Wow.... nerf crying kids did it again.... disgusting.

It’s better. But the issue is in the game mode themselves. Control should have heavies. Keeping control over heavy crates is often strategic and creates opportunity costs which are challenging. Most other game modes should not have them or very limited, especially in comp where it should be like it was in D1 with only one round.

Been playing with the changes now and here's my thoughts on them: I feel that the changes are good all round for competitive and rumble. I think the spawn timers for them changing are good across all modes of play. I don't like the reduction of ammo in the spawns for control, clash and other 6v6 modes. Its turned into purely teamshooting in the games I've played in. In levels I've not seen since D2 launched. Almost no one goes for the heavy which makes those guns redundant. There is no moments of surges or swings in momentum from fighting and gaining control of heavy and pushing forwards against the enemy. True if the other team controls heavy, you'll have no chance, but if you cannot as a team push them to lose control of the heavy, you're most likely not winning anyways. I feel heavy ammo drops for control/clash/6v6 don't need to go back to original ammo rates but need to go somehwhere in between for these game modes. Its quite boring constantly hitting the time limit do to everyone just team shooting the whole time once again, no pushes in momentum or flipping of zones. But I do feel the changes are perfect for rumble/survival/elimination. Just my 2 cents Cozmo. Peace!

Bearbeitet von Spectra: 10/15/2019 12:11:27 PMMake heavy a one time thing during the match. If you are worried about people camping in the back of the map instead of trying to control a map position, make people fight for special ammo instead. Make special ammo avaiable from crates like in D1, but this time put this crates in strategic positions. You also need to adjust their respawn timers and the amount of ammo that each crate gives depending of the type (sniper, shotgun, fusion, etc) and the archetype (fast firing, high impact...). Special ammo is just that... SPECIAL. It’s not something that you should have and use all the time. Instead, it should only be used in specific situations. For example, you ideally should only use a shotgun if forced to make an agressive push, or to protect yourself from... for example a titan trying to shoulder charge you. Otherwise what you will end up with is people constantly having acess to one shot weapons and either camping on the back of the map with snipers or mindlessly running around with their shotgun or fusion. PS: Players can spawn with a very small amount of special ammo, so that we don’t end up with D1 Y3 trials situation again, in which one team could be the only one with special during the entire round (which would put the other team in a big disadvantage). PPS: This way you can also have an alternative way to adjust a weapon’s performance in the crucible instead of just nerfing it and in the process making it worse in pve. Edit: Because I know that not everyone likes to play the same way, make another playlist in which you can have more special ammo and more frequently. This way, if you want to rush with your shotgun or to make those snipe montages you can! Also, if you (Bungie) are afraid that you might make a mistake and people won’t like this new changes... that is what LABS are for, to try something new and to make adjustements depending on the player’s feedback.

Remove heavy ammo and supers from pvp what kind of no skill trash is that anyway
-
Just make a mode without heavy primary and special only
-
Fix special ammo!
-
Thank you for listening.
-
Couldn’t we wave off heavy in d1?
-
You make some valid points and i agree that eververse must be removed from this game but, Whether we wanted it or not, we've stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let's get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta'aurc. From what I can gather, he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank just outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold.
-
Heavy is fine the way it is. People just need to learn to control the maps.
-
Whatever with the heavy, but do not remove it from comp... at least one spawn, adds some planning in the mix instead of spamming abilities or standing way back like a coward with a sniper. If you’re that awesome, get the heavy first!
-
This is a game, all the folks clamoring on about gunplay and skillz need to get over themselves. Who is playing this game to make a living besides the streamers? It's really not that serious!
-
Sounds good to me. Seriously though, I think you should have left it alone from Destiny 1 Year 3. That was a better set up in my opinion. Heavy ammo spawning in multiple places just once a match.
