Due to recent feedback asking for a reduction in the amount of Heavy ammo available in Crucible we are issuing a server-side change to the following modes. These changes should be live now!
Control will now have heavy ammo spawn in at 45 seconds and then every 120 seconds. It was spawning in at 45 seconds and then every 60 seconds.
Clash and Supremacy will now have heavy ammo spawn in at 60 seconds and then every 120 seconds. It was spawning in at 15 seconds and then every 60 seconds.
We don’t have server-side settings to change up the new 3v3 Survival mode but do plan to make the following changes in an update later this month.
Survival will soon have heavy ammo spawn in at 60 seconds and then again 60 seconds later just as the tiebreaker objective spawns. It is currently spawning in at 30 seconds and then every 60 seconds. The amount of heavy ammo granted will be reduced to match the amounts in Elimination and the 6v6 modes. We saw a lot of feedback about making heavy one round or being removed but wanted to make sure there was still an incentive for players to maintain map control and not camp at the edge of the map once they have a life advantage. We will continue to monitor feedback on these changes.

I have just made fabled in comp by spamming (No skill required) kills with the Colony. I feel like a dirty scrub and I'm glad heavy is getting a much needed NERF... But... ... it got me Recluse and I haven't vaulted it yet.

I appreciate the early changes. But why have Power Ammo spawning continuously like that? Just have it spawn once when the Capture Objective is up. Wouldn't that be a better system? People aren't happy with how Power Ammo feels to control the flow of the game. So why not just design it to be used to close tight-ended rounds?

Heavy shouldn't spawn for the tiebreaker. Heavy is a tiebreaker, itself, and should be removed outright.

How bout you just remove it from elimination and from competitive like everyone has asked for. If people camp, who cares. That’s why the zone spawns.

OK So I get this for crucible but why is it in gambit I am now no longer spawning /respawning into matches with power ammo? Prior to this recent update I was always coming in with ammo for my sword. Usually about 13/62. since the update, or the server side change possibly this is now no longer the case however my enemy now seems to always have it for their rocket launchers. Most matches I'll be lucky to even get to use my power weapon at all.

Do you play test anything? Your sandbox should have know this was a problem and never made it into the release.

Do the right thing coz. Make sure the UI team changes the settings for color blind people.you keep talking about making things meaningful, now make the game meaningful for color blind people. Think of it like a reskin, if that helps

I get the thing about not camping the back of the map in survival but currently every round is basically just a fight for heavy... now tiebreaker is going to be too
