Due to recent feedback asking for a reduction in the amount of Heavy ammo available in Crucible we are issuing a server-side change to the following modes. These changes should be live now!
Control will now have heavy ammo spawn in at 45 seconds and then every 120 seconds. It was spawning in at 45 seconds and then every 60 seconds.
Clash and Supremacy will now have heavy ammo spawn in at 60 seconds and then every 120 seconds. It was spawning in at 15 seconds and then every 60 seconds.
We don’t have server-side settings to change up the new 3v3 Survival mode but do plan to make the following changes in an update later this month.
Survival will soon have heavy ammo spawn in at 60 seconds and then again 60 seconds later just as the tiebreaker objective spawns. It is currently spawning in at 30 seconds and then every 60 seconds. The amount of heavy ammo granted will be reduced to match the amounts in Elimination and the 6v6 modes. We saw a lot of feedback about making heavy one round or being removed but wanted to make sure there was still an incentive for players to maintain map control and not camp at the edge of the map once they have a life advantage. We will continue to monitor feedback on these changes.

Bearbeitet von Kill it Oryx: 10/9/2019 7:42:11 AM100 upvotes for a Bungie post in the forum is no easy accomplishment. Congradulations. Do you think you can get 200 next? Something about PvP special ammo economy and item/skill balance patch maybe? Tip: Do not change all gamemodes at once to prevent downvotes from people who like the current state. Edit: Do not forget about Gambit. Gambit would be liked by more people if they weren't getting destroyed so often by heavy, without a chance to shoot back.

I gotta say crucible right now is a shlt show. 6v6 is just so broken. Imbalances here and there. Not liking it.
-
So... you guy's going to make it so mods are available on all elements of their armour type?
-
Please reduce the amount of heavy given to heavy machine guns in 3v3 it’s way too much.
-
Thank you. Listening to the pvp community and deploying a live change like this doesn’t go unnoticed.

Ive handed you guys tons of money over the years, thats because i love your games. No matter what anyone says destiny has the best gunplay and combat of any game out there. Heavy should not even exist in the crucible period. I want gunplay, I dont want to have to stay around the heavy ammo box the whole game, and trust me, bad players are the ones who want heavy to stay, because they cannot kill without wardcliff or truth. Thats the bottom line, put heavy back to D1 days and the community will love you for it. Heavy is "free kills" as so many people put it, since when did rockets mean more than running with your team and learning to outplay others? -blam!-ing joke. Love you guys by the way. Shadowkeep is awesome.

Let me start by saying I am loving 3v3 survival with only 4 extra lives & weapon balancing feels great currently That being said, I am curious why you think 1 round of heavy would lead to advantage team camping? As it is the advantage team is likely the ones to get the heavy so they could just camp and wait for the other team to feed them kills vs chasing them down with heavy. I mean there is a timer and a control point once the time runs out and although I don’t enjoy camping, it is still 1 legitimate style of play that more often than not leads to the campers getting killed once their location is discovered. I mean, there is a lot of ohk weapons with solid range that aren’t heavy and can be used to counter campers. I guess what I’m getting at is the maps are small enough and the timer is short enough that I don’t see the problem in 1 round heavy or removed all together. I feel like roaming HMG’s or grenade launchers is just giving advantage to the team that is already in the lead 🤷🏼♂️

Crucible Control is so laggy and matches are extremely lopsided for me.
-
Can't use other weapons other than the op ones. Yeah that's so not fun guys. No variety of weapons.

Solo queue in PvP feels awful. And the spawns need to be reworked because more often than not I'm spawning in direct line of sight of an enemy. A majority of the maps were designed for 4v4, but are now supposed to accommodate 12 people.
We saw a lot of feedback about making heavy one round or being removed but wanted to make sure there was still an incentive for players to maintain map control and not camp at the edge of the map once they have a life advantage.
So instead of camping the edge of the map you want players to camp heavy ammo? Better idea have randomly rotating heavy spawns so controlling one point of the map isn't an auto win.

Bearbeitet von LouieMags4: 10/9/2019 12:46:13 AMThank you for the quick response time on this one. Thoughts - please go back to D1 clash/ control heavy ammo spawn format: 1 heavy brick shared amongst teammates on opposite sides of the map (although, pick up should not be relegated to a close radius like it was, rather it should be within a 5-10 second pickup window like it is now. D1 was way too toxic in that one rogue teammate could pull heavy away from the entire team and that was that for the entire match....it happened a lot). Everyone can have their fun for 30 seconds or so and puke out heavy and be done with it. Then it’s back to normal crucible for the rest of the match. 3v3 elimination should be like it was in D1 trials. 1 round only, 1 heavy ammo box in the middle of the map, teams should fight for it, and then it’s shared amongst teammates, say third or fourth round, and that’s that. Thanks

Cozmo You make some valid points and i agree that eververse must be removed from this game but, Whether we wanted it or not, we've stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let's get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta'aurc. From what I can gather, he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank just outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold.

Great news! Too much heavy shits up the game and takes the focus off of gun skill.
-
Do these changes affect classic mix?
-
But why are the servers so bad as now? If it was gonna be like this, they would’ve been better extending the wait for release by at least a month.

The only difference pre and post Shadowkeep go-live is the influx of whiners when it comes to this. i play mainly Clash, and haven't noticed a difference, same old crucible power ammo regeneration time, but better match making algorithm in place. Thanks Bungie again, but please you dont have to cater to all the whiny cry babies on here. -
Thanks for getting to this quickly. I've had a friend literally complaining about this very thing like constantly. He will be surprised to hear this news. lol.
-
Literally just go back to how it was in D1.
-
Heavy needs to go completely in 3v3. It's been since Forsaken that the PvP community is been asking for changes in comp, especially with heavy. Now it's 3v3, just remove heavy completely.
-
Awesome. Thanks for the swift change.
-
A quick change and response? I’m surprised but delighted. Now... about mods being element locked and the absurd cost of masterworking...
-
Heavy needs to stay in something because I need multi kils for MT and that's basically the only way you can get them now. If I could just finish MT I would never have to play Crucible again.
-
Still no mention of the lack of weapons in the DLC....nice
-
Whoever came up with "Team Scorched" mode in crucible.... No.....just......no......
