There is nothing competitive about heavy ammo. There is nothing competitive about a tracking rocket that blows up if you are in proximity, there is nothing competitive about tracking grenade launchers.

... how is beating an opponent with superior firepower not competitive? By that same lackluster logic, theres nothing competitive about beating a superior player. Just say you don’t like heavy and leave it at that, don’t make an idiotically bold but false statement.
-
Not a superior player. Just a crutch. So lets just call it what it is. No skill weaponry.

Employ better footwork and weapon skill.

There’s no such thing as no skill weaponry- every weapon in Destiny requires timing and aiming by a player. if someone doesn’t do this and you die- you just suck. If using a weapon is a crutch, then you’re gonna get crutched to death cuz every weapon is a crutch by your flawed logic. Your mentality/perception about someone’s use of weapons is your personal handicap; not the weapon being a crutch.
-
Lmao, implying superior tracking and G&H on Truth is difficult to use and not a crutch.
-
Well it isnt hard to use but thats the whole point of heavy ammo? It is far superior to normal weaponry therefore you need to pick it up... The idea is that the better team will get the heavy ammo and then use it to win. Heavy ammo IS the objective in survival. It isnt fragging out, it is controlling the map so that you can obtain the heavy when it spawns in, hence winning you the round.

Bearbeitet von Elite 529: 10/19/2019 11:06:16 PMYes, getting heavy ammo is the point of a skill based game...not actually testing your gun skill against other opponents because that would be absurd. Like you realize that I understand the current survival meta is to camp heavy spawn, right? It may be the best stat but that doesn't mean it's a good mechanic or that it should stay in the game.
-
I believe the objective of survival should be just that, survival not who can camp heavy better. Why would you want to give the better team more advantage to stomp the team that isn’t as good? Whenever a team grabs heavy it’s usually at least 2 free kills
-
There's nothing competitive about crutching on developer patches to justify your incompetence either.
-
LOL. There's nothing competitive about Destiny PvP, and that's okay. A loot based shooter should not be used for serious competition. Players looking for that, are in the wrong game, period.

Look at fortnite, the kid won millions of dollars by winning a tournament and that game is completely loot based. Destiny definitely has a competitive scene to it especially considering it actually had an mlg event in destiny 1.

Bearbeitet von blade329: 10/11/2019 9:09:44 PMLOL. Fortnite is not loot based. It's a generic shooter. Overwatch is not loot based. Call of Duty is not loot based. Apex Legends isn't. Loot based games are Destiny, The Division, Diablo, Borderlands 3. See the difference?
-
How is fortnite not loot based? You spawn in with nothing and then go LOOT houses to get gear of different ratites and tiers
-
In a loot based game, you earn and KEEP loot you earn from story campaigns, missions, etc. The entire point of the those games is acquiring the loot. Fortnite doesn't do that. The point if that game is just shooting other players and winning matches.
-
I don’t agree with you but I see where you are coming from. Since you don’t spawn in with a predetermined loadout like in CoD and have to search for gear I still believe it’s more loot based

This is pretty well known in the video game world. Think of the difference between the Last of Us and Destiny. You acquire loot in Last of Us, but it's a story based RPG. When the story is done, the game is over. In Destiny, you have an endgame and it goes on almost indefinitely.
